A number of very good insights in this small book. Appreciate that the passages about spouses are mostly gender neutral (yes, some women do actually hunt without their spouses). Didn’t care for the religious chapter, but at least it’s easy to skip. All you need to be an ethical hunter is respect for nature. They are not a destructive force—they are a legitimate participant in nature’s functions.

I really like the tips in this book. It borders from the very basic gun safety to hunting and even to daily life with God. It's a very, quick read. It took me about an hour to read the entire book.

Short and sweet. A very quick read with some useful tips about hunting that inexperienced hunters will find some value in.

I would only recommend this book for people who have never gone hunting before, have minimal knowledge of the outdoors, and want something light to read.

This book is kind of like "A look at life from a Deer stand" but it has more to do with hunting instead of him tying as much into it with the bible. It is more of hunting tips and techniques. I really enjoyed this book.
