32 pages of pure nostalgia. For an hour I was a child again, filled with wonder at the tools of a galaxy long ago and far away.

I'm taking liberties here, rating things that I read years ago (albeit it a thousand times) when I was a kid. But today I was in a nostalgic mood, and as I was excavating through my old caravan in the backyard, looking for the Nintendo 64 to play some Goldeneye and Shadows Of The Empire, I came across this book instead. Breakfast reading found.
For anyone who loves Star Wars - even just a little bit - this book, compiled by David West Reynolds, is a must have, and gives endless pleasure to children and adults alike, with its in-depth and visually satisfying cross-sections of anything you can think of from the original three movies ... whether that be the Death Star, the Star Destroyer, the Blockade Runner, Bobba Fett's Slave I, or even Princess Leia's ... "Inner Goddess," as Anna Steele would say.
I pored over these pictures so many times as a child, tracing my finger along the page and pretending that I was roaming around these ships myself. But there is also lots of detailed information provided as well. It's impossible for any Star Wars fan not to find something to like in this.

Want to see the minute detail within the Millennium Falcon and other ships, this is the guide for you. You truly marvel at the smallest details revealed in each of the ships. The cross sections also show multiple locations or decks at once giving it an almost 3D look.

Interesting to see what the spaceships and whatnot are like on the inside, but for the price of it, you're not getting something worth the money if you pay individually for each Episode. (this is the complete edition) And even with the whole collected one, it's not like you're going to wanna keep coming back and reading about each room inside the Queen's spacecraft.

What more can I say about these books? They're fantastic. I will say that this one is my least favourite, since three movies of ships are crammed into 32 pages, whereas later releases dedicated one book to each film.

This book out of all the star wars cross section series is the most impressive - it could be that the cross section images are made from images taken from the original star wars archives which date back to the 70s - no mean feat when you realise that many films sell off, give away or just simply destroy their props and material after a film is finished. or is it that the first star wars film IV A new hope was the first film I ever saw at the tender age of 5 and it in equal parts scared the hell out of me and totally captured me. Either way this book brings back all the nostalgia and for that alone I think this book is worth praising but at the same time there is all that amazing art.

the shear detail in the schematics drawn for this oversized publication is phenomenal. while upon a reread I was a whole lot less interested than as a kid, I still have no problem giving this volume and my attack of the clones volume 4 stars. a maybe must have for star wars (and sci fi tech) nerds everywhere.

i liked how creative the pictures looked. They added all the details they could. They probably worked pretty hard.

This book fueled my young imagination and made me realize that you can add details to anything if you're worldbuilding.
