Is there life after death? After a tragic accident, doctors pronounced Richard Sigmund legally dead. Eight hours later, God miraculously brought him back to life on the way to the morgue.
During those hours, God allowed him to experience the glorious beauty, heavenly sounds, sweet aromas, and boundless joys of heaven that await every believer. God then returned him back to earth with a mission: to tell the world what he saw.
I've read MANY books on people's experiences of seeing heaven... But THIS book is A+++ for detailed, explicit description of what the author saw! I was raised in church all my life and accepted Christ as my personal Savior at 11 yrs old and thought I was ready to die...until I read this book! It has changed my life even more... and for the better! I am striving every day to become more and more like Jesus and truly walk the path He has laid before me! This book is a MUST READ and a MUST SHARE book!
This was a great account of a near death experience. I just wish it had been written better. The author kept jumping around and mentioning "more about that later...". I didn't quite get that and have read similar stories that are much more convincing and thought provoking.
Quite an inspiring read that brings comfort and a desire to let others know about heaven!
In speaking of what he learned about prayer in Heaven, Richard says, "Invariably, when we are praying about tomorrow...it is because God has a blessing in store for us and the devil wants to steal it away or trip us up. When we pray earnestly, it releases God to go into our tomorrows and lay a trap for the devil and make sure our blessings are there, right on time. This is something I was told by the Lord when I was in heaven."
"No child who dies is ever lost..."
"...I learned there are announcement centers in heaven, and people are notified that their loved ones are about to arrive there..."
"...For centuries, men have tried to interpret My Word. Some were correct, in as much light as they had. Some were wrong, and some of them were sent by the evil one to lead My Father's creation astray. From the day that My grace was extended to redeem creation, the evil one has tried to steal it from My hands. But until the day I will soon return, that which My Father has committed to Me will not be taken from Me..."
The depressing reason I even bothered reading this is to try work out how to get my mom to realise that books like this are rubbish. The problem is I have no idea how to do it. Ok I can just let her believe this and all those disgraceful televangelists with their ‘miracles,’ but it annoys me so much. Honestly my own mom!
"Wow!" What a testimony! Just some things in the book seem a little bit added too, out of due respect who am I to question the mighty power of God and all his amazing creation and miracles. There are recounts of people who have died and have come back and they recall some of the things that are in this book. So I look at it from the perspective of recollections of what has been said from these people and the Bible. What I did find strange thou is why there is so little information about Richard Sigmund and his ministries. And he is in heaven now he died October 18th 2010.
I have always been a beleiver in Heaven and like reading after death experiences. Mr Sigmund's account of being in Heaven for alittle bit had me astounded .I had a similiar experience ,and related to his heaven descriptions. It is also a spiritual book and made my faith even stronger. (less)
I really found this book very comforting to read. It has caused me to be more "aware" of my spiritual life and what I choose to surround myself with (radio, television, books, conversation.) A great gift for someone who has lost a loved one recently... or even a non believer or a believer! I cannot imagine anyone not receiving this book in love.
This is an excellent, easy read. It is the most detailed discription of a place I've read. Richard is more into describing heaven and says little about experiences while there. It's a book that will make you stop and consider life.
I want to believe heaven is like this. People are going to say it is not biblically sound but I have to say it is a great read and a wonderful look into heaven. I would recommend this to everyone I know
I have read lots of spiritual literature, and can advice you to don't waste your time and money on this book. Just a lot of made up stories with a lot of Bible Citations to try to make this book credible.
Unsure one could possibly have the clarity of recall described in the book. If only 10% of this book were true it would change the way you lived. Definitely thought provoking.
Rated it 3 star because it was definitely not a must read. It felt more far fetched and his best answer to things he saw or why, is this: I do not know but it's what I saw, I do not know the answer. Just seems to contradictory as the book of God gives heaven measures but he describes its as a planert size with seas that lead to oceans and no one will see all of heaven. But we can fly....... and if it was all true why did the author not describe Jesus at all other than his toe and nail? I would think you would provide details and even details about past biblical characters, instead he saw millions upon millions in gathering at times but no one of history, only people he listed he knew from earth. The book was very creative, and perhaps I'm the issue as the reader but it did not give any hope or clarity really. What I liked was one big thing about prayer: your prayer today helps prepare for tomorrow and your tomorrow is God's yesterday. That alone was worth buying the book simply because I struggled with the meaning of prayer. And to note, he did help clarify the value of prayer and that was heart felt too. You will just have to read it to find out. There is a few good spots about prayer.
I’m sure Richard is a very well liked individual. But I had a problem with most of this book. Too many to list but I wanted to know the events leading up to the accident. None which were explained. Not a single detail was ever given. You are just suddenly thrown into Heaven without knowing why. Now who am I to say Richard saw fifteen feet books or 50 to 60,000 people in a place. I could not give a number like that. I could never even guess. But I got tired of reading, I don’t remember. I can’t recall, I don’t know time after time. Or there was a person but I can’t remember his name. I know you remember in Heaven but once your back on earth you can’t remember details.
Then at the end of the book there are countless pages of scriptures. I felt this was to fill up the pages when I could have easily opened my Bible to read it myself.
Sorry but I really wanted to like this book and wished the events that lead up to the accident were part of the story.
Many may not believe this actually happened, but the Spirit of God nodded His approval. Therefore, I trust that what the author wrote is true.
I've read other accounts by authors who have visited heaven and certain aspects of their stories are similar but not the same. Many of the revelations in this book about heaven God had shared with me before I read the book.
My Time In Heaven encourages Christians to press on in faith while living in a world turned upside down because the best days are yet to come.
The author gives us glimpses into the glorious life that awaits believers.
This is seriously one of my favorite books of all time. I have read it multiple times, and every time it stirs up a longing in me to really see that place—-that place Jesus went to prepare for us. In fact it was a little passage in My Time in Heaven that started me on my road as an author. It’s where he sees books in heaven that had not been written on earth yet. I asked God if I could write one of them. I guess He liked that idea.
A pastor is in an accident and pronounced dead at the hospital. He journeys to heaven and takes in many sights. He is shown many things and speaks with Jesus. He is then sent back to Earth because he has more work to do. He wakes up after being dead for about eight hours.
This book is about a pastor who is pronounced dead after a car accident. He is taken by God to heaven and in this book he describes his experience there. This book gives hope that there is more to life than what we can see. That miracles do happen and that heaven awaits for those who believe in Jesus
A very detailed experience of being in the heaven that God has prepared for all who love and believe in Him. I can't wait to tell my family and friends about this book.
I was truly blessed reading this book. It gives hope and it allows us to have a glimpse in our minds and see what God has created for us. Our God is an amazing and loving God. God bless you!
Thank you out Heavenly Father and Jesus for Your love and salvation!!
What a glorious life Richard Sigmund lived. He was definitely blessed and lived by the Holy Spirit! Thank you Father for allowing him to share Your experiences with him with us!
It's hard to imagine all the things that Richard writes. I had my doubts but for me he wrote about things I've seen myself. Heaven is a pure creation of love. That is a fact that is difficult to realize but is nonetheless true.
Very detailed description of one man’s visit to Heaven and Hell. Have read similar. Mostly scriptural. Quite a few pages near the end of the book deal with Bible passages that confirm the validity of the things he saw.
Todo cristiano debe leerlo. Coincide con otras experiencias de personas que también Dios les ha permitido ver el cielo. Mi madre tuvo una visión del paraíso hace muchos años y es igual a la que el autor explica en su libro.
Interesting that God told Richard that he would be living when Jesus returns. Sadly: Richard was born on March 19, 1946 and passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010. Richard was a resident of Maxwell, Iowa.
