Signal

Rate this book
It all began one beautiful summer morning, where the brilliant blue skies and warm sunshine peaking in the East was deceitful of the mass carnage that was about to occur... Without warning, a mysterious happening brought about an abrupt change to mankind, separating people into two factions - those that were infected by the phenomenon, and those that were not. Jack Stone wasn't infected. He had been walking down a busy street in his hometown of Badger City, New York, when the genesis of an event known later on as The Signal was unleashed upon an unsuspecting world. In an instant, devastation and hysteria became widespread. For a while, endless wrecks, explosions, and screams were commonplace among the cities of the globe. Chaos reigned as a shadow fell over the world of Man. Then, in another instant, everything stopped. The screams died, and the explosions quieted. The hell that had arisen was over. Or was it? For Jack and a few others, what began as an unexplainable episode of mass hysteria and destruction takes on further meaning as a new civilization rises from the ashes. The intentions of this new race of beings remain unclear as the struggle for survival begins...
