Jess Michaels is a USA Today Bestselling Author who likes geeky stuff like Star Wars, playing video games (she ships herself with Dragon Age’s Iron Bull FOREVER), Bob’s Burgers and collecting POPs! She also drinks a LOT of Diet Coke. Probably an unhealthy amount, but it’s her only vice. She will eat (almost) anything coconut, truly anything cheesy and nothing spicy (yes, she is a walking stereotype when it comes to that). She likes cats, her dog Elton and people who care about the welfare of their fellow humans.

LOVED IT!!! This story gave a tug at my heart. I could feel the love between the H&H but you know how it goes, we had to wait for the ending for them to know that they each had loved the other all along. The love scenes were really Hot, and the ending happy indeed.

Landon Hawkins, the older brother of Lucius from Wager of Sin, comes home to learn that a lady from his past wants his help. Lady Juliana Russell, now widow, has come to get help in finding her younger sister who seems to have gone missing. She asked Landon's help for he has a great connection to the ton and can seem to find information quick. What she didn't expect was for in return of finding her sister, she has to give her body to him.

This book had it's moments where the emotion gets to you. Having to give up the person you love and lie to him about why to having a heartless father who will give you away to repay his debt is something. I wish I could have punch Juliana's father for being such a horrible father. You don't figure out what happens to Juliana's sister unless you read book 3 because that's her story.

This is the second novella in an erotic romance author collection that I downloaded for my Kindle. Although this is definitely erotic, there is a very strong love story. Ii is pretty well written and I liked it much better than the first title in this collection.

Gw lompat buku 2 trs lanjut buku 3, mungkin ntar gw baca buku 1 nya kl mood kwkwkwkw, buku 1 nya adeknya mas buku 2, buku 3 adeknya mbak buku 2 (bingung kan). Cerita buku 2 dan buku 3 rada nyambung, karena alasan si mbak minta tolong ke mas nya di buku 2 karena adeknya ilang, eh dijual sama bapaknya ke mas2 jahat yg jadi hero-heroine buku 3.

Okay ceritanya tu Juliana & Landon Hawkins (viscount atau earl gt gw lupa) melarikan diri dari bapaknya Juliana yg tukang judi, mereka nikah diam-diam di Gretna Green, sampai abis bobo bareng paginya bapaknya Juliana nemuin mereka dan bilang kalau Juliana dipaksa kawin lari sama Landon, bahkan mereka blm mengesahkan pernikahan mereka (bobo bareng) dan Juliana mengamini perkataan bapaknya. Landon shock dan marah besar ke Juliana yang lebih milih papanya dibandingin die, gak sampai di situ.. setelah pernikahan mereka di nyatakan tidak sah, Juliana menikah dengan Duke tua yg mau mati. Landon yg sakit ati banget, akhirnya fokus di karir politiknya.

5th kemdian, adeknya Landon mulai ngusilin kakaknya buat buru2 nikah, butuh heir kan.. dan itu membuat Landon keinget Juliana lagi, meski tiap hari jg inget, bahkan bobo sama cewe manapun tdk pernah memuaskannya, makanya die jarang keliatan sama whore, beda sama lord2 pada umumnya. Trs pas Landon pulang kerumah, taunya Juliana ude nungguin die gitu, males si nemuin.. tp die jg penasaran maunya apa. Taunya Juliana minta tolong buat cari Evelyn, adeknya yg di jual bapaknya ke salah satu lord yg nagih utang, Landon yg masih sakit ati banget nambah kesel dong, cuma kr butuh doang die dateng, Landon yg kesel akhirnya bilang "oke, gw akan cari adek lo sampai dapet, tp sebagai bayarannya, tiap malem lo musti bobo bareng sama gw sebagai bayaran".

Juliana, dipaksa bapaknya, diancam bapaknya dan selalu dikasih warning kalau virtue nya die adalah hak bapaknya untuk dijual kepada bidder tertinggi. Nah, bapaknya kalah judi dan butuh ngelunasin utang ke Duke mbuh gw lupa, masalahnya Juliana jatuh cinta ke Landon dan milih kawin lari ke Gretna Green, pas diketemukan bapaknya, bapaknya bilang "kl lo kaga mau nikah sama si Duke, gw akan kasih Evelyn ke si Duke" padahal Evelyn tu masih kecil. Mana bisa die bahagia sama Landon kalau Evelyn harus dikorbankan? akhirnya Juliana milih pulang sama bapaknya dan bilang kalau die dipaksa sama Landon. Juliana mengorbankan segala-galanya demi Evelyn dan akhirnya bapaknya ttp aja jual Evelyn. Gak tau musti kemana lagi buat cari adeknya, Juliana mengorbankan harga dirinya buat minta tolong ke Landon, dan die yakin Landon tu bakalan balas dendam tp Landon jg laki-laki yg baik akan tetep bantuin die cari Evelyn. Makanya pas Landon bilang die harus bobo bareng sama Landon buat bayaran cari Evelyn, Juliana mau deh.. mo gimana lagi kan.

Gak langsung bobo bareng sih meski Landon demand bayaran saat itu jg, tp Landon nya mempermalukan Juliana sedemikian sehingga lah pokoknya.. gak mau pegang Juliana jg, yg bikin mbaknya nelangsa banget.. tp ya namanya novel bu ibu.. Landon jg masih cinta mati sama Juliana, Juliana jg masih cinta sama Landon.. HEA lah akhirnya.. dari awal Landon jg sll bilang kl Julaian itu istrinya titik.

Nah, porses pencarian Evelyn itu akhirnya sampai ke satu nama Raphael Sinclair, atau biasa dipanggil Sin, Juliana sampe shock pas tau Evelyn dijual ke Sin, karena Sin sesuai namanya akan melalukan apa saja untuk merusak siapapun, setelah Juliana mengorbankan semuanya buat Evelyn, ternyata Evelyn ruined jg hahahahahaha

The Sweetest Sin is the second novella in the Sin series. It’s an erotic romance with a typical historical plot. Prologue set in London, 1813. The story continues in 1818.

Juliana Russell is a woman living under the thumb of a heartless father who accrues gambling debts and uses his daughters for payment. Her character is a perfect example of how women were used as property in historical times.

Landon and Juliana’s chemistry is strong. Their relationship is passionate and intense.

I recommend this novella. I recommend this novella series.

I always enjoy this kind of books. I just love witnessing the reawakening of desire, passion and especially LOVE that was supposed long past gone considering the pain it brought in the past up until the present to characters. This was a manifestation of how we can't control our feelings if it mean to be there. As the saying goes, the only thing that is constant in this world is CHANGE. But it always amazes me to think that while everything changed, the love is still there. This book also includes second chances. Jess Michaels is a great writer. I don't know how to explain it but while other historical romance novels are the same in one way or another, hers were rare. It always tackles things that were not really commonly explored. I think it's a risk to do so since she is swimming to and presenting the topics and things that were not openly adored by many but so far, it's a worth risk since her books are always a great read.
This is a sweet, sinfully sexy and dramatic book indeed.

This is the second novella in the erotic "Sin" trilogy by Jess Michaels. While short in length, they are not short on romance, chemistry and passion. While the couples spend a good amount of time in bed, there are also strong emotions and plot behind the scenes. While I enjoyed the first in the trilogy a little more, this one tugged at my heartstrings as well and I found it engaging and entertaining. I do prefer full length novels in general, but this trilogy was available as a bundle and build on each other. JM is a talented writer and I love how descriptive she is. I can always picture what is going on and feel the emotional punch behind the action. Her erotic scenes are beyond hot. If that is your cup of tea, then do not miss out on her novels.

this was the best of the sin series, Landon secretly marries his love who then deserts him to marry a duke so her father can settle his debts, and to prevent her father from selling her sister Evelyn in a simlar fashion, unbeknwnst to Landon.
