Corvo and Ardán have traveled from their home on the planet Biryan back to Corvo's homeworld of Tiberia to take part in Corvo's sister's wedding. The happy occasion is complicated by the fact that Ardán is essentially a prisoner of war, a war that, though over, he is still affected by.Corvo, likewise, is a hostage to the political situation that made Ardán a slave. Though they have overcome many of the problems they faced initially, and are happy together, neither of them is happy with the legal realities that they are powerless to change. The trip to Tiberia, intended to be happy, instead becomes laden with meaning that he had not expected.
i was hoping to get more, and i did, but it's still just too damn little. i get glimpses of this world, and i want to immerse myself in it, but there isn't enough. *sigh*. this was quite poignant for such a short story, but i would have gladly traded in the sex for more of the world.
well, one more to go. seems nobody cared much for this short series, which i don't quite understand. maybe it's too SFnal for mm readers?
