When quarterback Drew Brees left Purdue University to pursue a career in the National Football League (NFL) in 2001, many people thought he was too short. At six feet tall, they wondered if he would be able to see over the heads of the other players on the field. Brees quickly proved the doubters wrong. Named to numerous Pro Bowls as one of the NFL's best players, Brees was named Offensive Player of the Year for the 2007-2008 season. In 2009-2010 Brees took his game to another level, leading the New Orleans Saints to victory in Super Bowl XLIV.

I thought that the book was really well organized book. The book goes from his High school yyears to his NFL years. Drew Brees has been my favorite football player for a while. It started the year he went to the Saints. That was before they went to the super bowl. Drew started 2 in his high school year. He got a letter from Purdue to go and play football there. He accepted. After he led Purdue from a nobody to a somebody he was drafted to the NFL. He was a second round draft to the Chargers. He played there for 4 years without a real increase in wins. His last year they drafted Phillip Rivers[ who is still there main quarterback] as backup quarterback. Drew played harder, fearing he would soon lose his job. In his final game on the year, Gerard Warren[ who played for the Broncos] fell on Drews arm. He was really hurt. So the chargers droped Drew Brees. He became a free agent in 2006. The Saints were in dier need of a new Quarterback. They had only one 3 games the year before and had never been to the superbowl. He got the team a great win.
