McGraw-Hill’s classic options bestseller, Options for the Stock Investo r, has been updated to reflect changes in the options market. This extensively revised second edition features all-new material describing electronic trading, decimalization, and single stock futures, along with increasingly popular vehicles such as stock indexes, LEAPs, and exchangetraded funds.
My wife picked this up for a dollar from a library sale. I’m not even sure knows what an option is, and probably had no idea the book would be for. Considering it was from ’97, you wouldn’t think it would be worth even a dollar. Yet, this was a great book for anyone who follows the market. Options are one of the more difficult concepts to follow, and this book did a great job explaining, detailing, and providing examples. I recommend this book for anyone taking the FINRA Series 7, or for anyone working in brokerage operations. Of course, it will take a few reads to get comfortable with the material, but you’ll be way ahead of anyone else trying to understand the concept. Even at full price, this book is worth picking up.
