This would have been the text book in my graduate school leadership courses, if it had been written in 1999. Covault takes the reader from the basic principles and values of leadership, building upon each previous chapter, to the execution of a business plan or mission. He opens a toolbox and lays out all the tools needed to become an excellent leader. His long military career and the three stars on his shoulders placed him in command of thousands of soldiers, giving him plenty of opportunity to hone his leadership skills to a razor edge. Read this if you want to be a better leader, or want to develop better leaders.
