T.L. is the Queen at writing us the best Anti-Heroes. This is Book One in the Villians Duet, however this is Jake and Oriana’s complete story. The Second Book is Grayson’s, Jake’s brother, who we meet in their story. And, are given a nugget about his book. Jake has a presence that demands respect, obedience, and complete submission. But, he treats Oriana as his equal. He opens her eyes, gives her confidence and lets not forget about all the star seeing O’s. Oriana may want to quit Jake because his lifestyle is not her norm, but he just keeps showing up. This book is not high on angst, but it is seeped in emotion. Jake is all hard angles and Oriana refuses to bend for another man. But, then he begins bending for her. I devoured this book in one sitting. I completely checked out of my life and became embroiled in theirs. And, I regret nothing.
Jake comes to Oriana’s rescue one evening. The next time they come face to face he is bidding on a date with her at a charity event. Where her husband could seem to care less.
