The plots of books one to three are solid, if a bit hackneyed. The action is compelling. The hero is the former black ops commando, drowning in guilt and remorse over his past actions and the death of his son. Still, a passable read. What is not passable are the numerous spelling, word use, and grammatical errors. "Earnt" for earned. "Homely" for homey. People "startle" rather than start. The author uses "of which" when he means "of whom." The past tense of dive and weave are rendered as dived and weaved, when I am certain I was taught to use dove and wove. An example of thoughtless inconsistency is exemplified by the description of a "trickle of blood" "cascading" from someone's ear. Then there is the soldier with the broken femur, who, after it is roughly splinted, crawls up a steep hill and then limps along with his buddies back to base. Book three is the worst offender, and would rate only one star, which is one reason I have grouped the three books together. A second set of eyes would do wonders for these stories.
Really enjoyed the first 3 books about Sam Pope, a broken man through his great loss decides that no-one should suffer from injustice not if he can help it. Declares war on crime. Recommend
I was hoping for a good vigilante story, but nothing was memorable except for constant repetitive memories and statements that had me scanning pages rather than reading them. Overall pretty darned disappointing.
No story is ever finished leaving the reader to buy a sequel and then another. You never get the satisfaction of finishing a story. Definataly zero score
Good fun, little too much review of previous events from the series and a bit too much unnecessary filler, i assume to up page count?? But overall a good fun series
I just finished the first three books in record time as they definitely kept you turning the pages. I just Dow loaded the next set of three great read.
Have read 3 of these books now Not a patch on Ben Hope or Jack Reacher books Poorly written- strange grammar - repetitive descriptions Won’t bother with any more
