One of my favorites in the series, this volume concludes the "End of Summer" story arc which reads like a John Hughes movie for gearheads. Koichiro (my favorite supporting character) gets a brief moment in the spotlight and fumbles his chance at a relationship with the girl of his dreams in tragically geeky style. This story really shows what Shigeno can do with these characters when they're not behind the wheel, it's a shame there aren't more like this.
Initial D is the gift that keeps on giving. Not only is it a fantastic manga, there's also an anime, a Chinese movie, 4 hour long eurobeat mixes, and so many memes!!!
Easily the best race so far. The romance angle in here was written sloppily but if you looked into it then it was kind of bittersweet. But we are at a cross roads cause it looks like the MC is too overpowered and next race is one he isn’t in which should be interesting but we’re at the stage of waiting for him to lose ._.

takumi, a racing 'legend' begins to learn about the world of street racing, but as well confront other problems such as the racers of the ghost of akina, a popular mountain for racing. takumi is noticed when he has beaten several other races in the mountain and gains popularity. later on he continues doing what he does best. a group of racers in the ghost of akina observe him and think about taking him in. takumi yet doesnt know the dangerous possibilities in street racing... i can connect this book to th world b/c in street racing, it's way dirtier. there are many things that can go wrong and lead to many possibilities. which many beginners should know but not takumi. i would rate this book 4 stars b/c overall i love manga, and racing (since im a boy.) this book is a kind where you cant put it down b/c constantly there's always action or a conflict involved.
