Super-bestselling Chef Paul Prudhomme and his 11 brothers and sisters remember—and cook—the greatest native cooking in the history of America, garnered from their early years in the deep south of Louisiana. The Prudhomme Family Cookbook brings the old days of Cajun cooking right into your home.
I'm not by any means a chef but in the company of someone who is really enthusiastic in the kitchen I do like to cut loose. This book of Paul Prudhomme's family recipes is incentive to invite those people over for a Creole/Cajun soiree. This isn't the K-Paul's Louisiana Kitchen fare but recipes from members of the extended Prudhomme family with Paul's blessing. Not generally fast or simple recipes, they are not inordinately complex either. Tasty and savory. Get the book, go shopping and call your friends over!
Not only does this cookbook have fantastic recipies in it, if not exactly healthy..... The narratives before each recipie was great reading. By the time you get to the end, you not only want some good soul enriching food, but you feel like you know the family.
