Augusto Jorge Cury (Colina, 2 de outubro de 1958) é um médico, psiquiatra, psicoterapeuta e escritor de literatura psiquiátrica brasileiro. Desenvolve em Espanha pesquisa em Ciência da Educação e, após a construção da teoria de Inteligência Multifocal, continua a desenvolver estudos sobre as dinâmicas da emoção e da construção dos pensamentos. Dirige a Academia da Inteligência no Brasil, um instituto de formação para psicólogos, educadores e outros profissionais, e actualmente os seus livros são usados em pesquisas de pós-graduação nas mais diversas áreas das Ciências Humanas.
À sua actividade, alia ainda a participação em congressos e conferências em diversos pontos do mundo, onde os seus livros estão publicados.

The novel offers a captivating story. Augusto Cury seems to unearth all that society tries to hide or fears to have the audacity to speak about in an brutally honest manner. This is a great read if you want to change your view of life and rekindle that sense of human connections rather than forming relationships via emails and texts in the modern sick society we live in. The only short comings of the novel was that the character traits of Honeymouth and The Mayor were a bit tedious to read through as they predictively did the same thing over and over again. None the less; it was a great read that changed my life.

Mais uma vez o autor Augusto Cury consegui demostrar o porque de sua fama afinal o livro é chamativo do começo ao fim com uma historia interessante, personagens muito cativantes e um desenrolar Unico da historia sendo que esse Segundo volume conseguiu superar o primeiro em diversos aspectos principalmente na Questão da Historia que conseguiu continuar de uma forma unica o primeiro...
O foco nos personagens secundarios tambem foi um ponto forte nesse livro que deveria ser consumido por todos que Querem aprender como se tornar mais humanos e humildes...

Não li os outros livros da série, mas esse achei bem mais ou menos. Apesar de na contra capa informar que cada um dos três livros pode ser lido separadamente, esse segundo volume termina com mais perguntas que respostas, te obrigando, para saber o que acontece, a ler o terceiro em sequência. O livro como um todo não tem um enredo bem definido, o humor é bobo e os personagens rasos. Os ensinamentos são superficiais, estilo “frases prontas”, do tipo fácil falar.

Better and more personal (I thought) than the first book of the series. The characters gad about to back-alleys, hospitals, and even a prison this time around, spreading the Mestre's dreams for a more "kumbaya" future. Abrupt, sad, confusing ending. Augusto Cury and his publisher clearly want to sell more books.

I haven't finished reading because I was so bored out of my mind.
The book is supposed to sound deep and mysterious but it simply makes you question if it's a bit over hyped or not. And to my opinion this was a bit too weird and I didn't feel the vibes unfortunately.
Page after page it was like lifting rocks, some smaller, some heavier. But in the end, they were just rocks of different sizes.
It amazes me that the front cover so proudly states that it sold 10M copies in Brazil alone!
Who would in their perfect mind buy this book? It tries to sound smart, but in the end it felt snobby even though the book is supposed to be about the "anonymous" in other words the poor and the like who aren't given enough attention in our society... ohhh I get it. It's like sort of a Bible.
Please people, do not try to recreate the Bible because it will rub off the wrong way every time you try it because of the obvious religious context that it will carry with it one way or the other.
Somehow I simply felt wrong reading it, and i couldn't read it any longer. I think I got about to the middle. Page after page I thought it would change and finally drop the bs and finally make some sense for a change. But it never did. And I wasn't about to spend more of my patience and time turning every page expecting for something new or a change of some sort.
It was drag during every page.

Good lord I didn't buy this book but got it as a present because it would have been a waste of my money. But that poor someone did indeed waste his or her money on this so it's a loss either way to both of us. Him/her in that they bought it, and mine that I read even as much as 10 pages from it.
I'll give it my lowest rating yet... 1 star. As I feel there has been put a lot of thought in it.

What's my last thought on this you say?
I'll tell you. Don't pick it up. If you want your mind opened, there are tons of books more worthy than this one. Because that's what Mr. Dream seller here is trying to do. But don't go for it... sounds fishy.
I would never recommend it to anyone.

Esta trilogia que irei agora terminar, é a minha estreia nos livros de auto-ajuda de Augusto Cury.

No livro anterior conhecemos um homem que salva um professor de Sociologia do suicídio. Ao longo da narrativa, este homem que se intitula o Vendedor de Sonhos, vai criticar fortemente a sociedade, vai debater ideias e vai incentivar as pessoas a olharem para dentro de si mesmas e a enfrentarem os seus fantasmas. Mas não vai estar sozinho, vai ser acompanhado por vários anónimos que vai conhecer nas mais diversas situações.

Neste segundo livro, o debate de ideias e as críticas à sociedade vão ser feitas pelas pessoas que o acompanham. Ao longo da narrativa vamos conhecendo um pouco mais da história destas pessoas. Vamos acompanhar a sua revolução.

O vendedor de sonhos regressa ao seu passado. E de repente uma revelação encerra a narrativa.

Estou a gostar bastante desta trilogia, apesar de ter demorado a ler este livro por ter lido outros livros pelo meio.

Se gostam dos livros do autor. Recomendo!

5/10- uma palavra: desilusão. O primeiro foi maravilhoso este livro achei muito ruim. As personagens têm personalidade mas são muito idiotas, muitas cenas desnecessárias e sem piada, o livro não tem um objectivo apenas descreve o que eles estão a fazer. O final tem uma revelação sobre o mestre mas mais deixa duvidas que respostas pois obrigado a ler o terceiro. Podia ter sido bem mais interessante e com mais ação.

The same problems exist as in the first one, but here, the message is more incoherent and spread thin. It basically retreads the same ground as the first. Augusto is an academic, he possesses no imagination or creativity. It is absurd that this book was even published, and that he claims some of those transcendent ideas in such a dull form. I even spotted several obvious typos.

Most of the time we misunderstood those who wanders around in ragged clothes as lunatics, psychopaths, crazies. But little do we know they possess far more greater riches that those one we see as normal.

I hope I can find and grab volume 1 of this book. I am not aware that I'm reading the second volume only when I reached the last page that I discovered that it's the end of volume 2. :)

I loved it so much. Two of characters impressed me a lot, known as Barnabé e Bartolomeu... You should read it.
