Rebuilding the Island #1

Rebuilding the Island: A Tropical Monster Girl Isekai Fantasy

Rate this book
When the goddess asked for my help, I didn't think I'd be bedding monster girls to do it.

Waking up in the underwater cave should've been the end of my life. Instead, I accidentally released a goddess from her prison and she begged for my help. A trauma-induced concussion?

Nope. Trust me, this is my new life.

With a feisty sea monster girl, a cat girl running away from royal obligations, and a sexy librarian bird girl with a love for gadgets, we’ll save the goddess's island and create our own tropical paradise.

After setting ships on fire, chasing iguanas, and tearing off a few homemade grass skirts, of course.

[Rebuilding the Island is a tropical isekai romance with a cat girl who purrs only for you, a bird girl who shows up undressed in your primitive workshop, and a sea monster girl who'll get on her knees to show appreciation. There's explicit scenes, that's all I'm saying here.]

This was a fun fantasy and action-adventure novel; however, there are a lot of editing issues. I borrowed this through Kindle Unlimited and the cover changed between when I initially borrowed it and when I downloaded it to read, so I suspect some of the issues might be due to an update glitch. In chapter 8, there is a large chunk of the chapter that repeats in chapter 9 (based on the story flow, it should be in chapter 9). One of the last chapters has an opening that has absolutely nothing to do with that chapter and is meant for a previous chapter. There are also an increasing number of typos the closer you get to the end of the novel. This would have been a solid 4 stars for me without the editing issues.

Fun and unique read

I've read a quite a few books and series in this genre, but have to admit that this one has a unique feel and dynamic between the characters that is quite fun, witty and entertaining.

The story is nicely laced and written well, but it took me a while to get used to some of the characters unique way of talking and the phrases unique to this fantasy world.

But definitely looking forward to seeing if there will be more!

He repeated so many statements it actually threw me out of the story. He repeated so many. It was so many that it threw me out of the story. So many.

Annoying, isn't it? This story is fucking full of it, and combined with the nonsense plot that had magic only when convenient... I couldn't finish it. The characters each had unique voices though, that's one good part I noticed.

Hard to read but not bad

Nice slice of life, could hardly understand what fierceful was saying 75% of the time. Along with some of the others as well. Interesting premise but probably won't read the next installment if there is one.

it was a fun read

The story was fun reading and enjoyable. It took me a few to get used to the writing style of the way the pirates talked but it was a good story so far
