No thank you. My 10 year old started reading it first and stopped before 100 pages because she didn’t like how the kids were treating one another and cheating. I skim read it and I couldn’t agree with her more. It’s all just about getting sales - never about being grateful or proud off raising money for charity, just about winning (I’m hopeful there’s a redemption at the end reminding kids of the main goal of the sales, but I just can not read any more of this.) not to mention it’s 6th graders all with cell phones running unsupervised all over town.
I loved all the pranks! I got invested within 10 pages! Its not hard or easy to read, its just perfect! If you love chocolate or selling items this is for you! I read so many pages a day it was insane! The Chocolate Challenge was a great read and I would so recommend! With over 4 main characters and 8 little side characters its almost impossible to not relate to their feelings, their clothing style, personality, anything really!
This will be a popular book with 3rd-6th graders. A contest to sell chocolate and raise funds for charity gets taken in a new direction when this year's 6th grade captains get too competitive. Practical jokes go back and forth until finally the adults step in. Appealing cover art and binding will add to the attraction.
I really enjoyed this book and picked it up at my school book fair. I liked that challenge and the pranks, even though some of them were rude or really bad, but I like how in the end, everyone stops caring about the competition and they team up to sell chocolate bars.

Fun, chocolate-filled read! I did this as a read aloud with my 8 and 12 year old. We all enjoyed it. The different pranks were entertaining and the lessons learned were good too. After we finished, we made a homemade chocolate cake!

I read this when I was in 5th grade. This is cute for a younger audience and it was pretty comical, it kept me intrigued and I just overall enjoyed reading these two couples going at each other in this chocolate challenge.
This was a really fun and entertaining book to read! I liked seeing how the challenge would unfold, and the end had a really good meaning of friendship.
The kids were mean and acted like brats. They were caught up in their hatred and ruined their school fundraiser. Winning is not worth making everyone else unhappy.
