Rate this book
The Holy Book of Women's Mysteries is the seminal book of Women's Spirituality. It launched the Dianic tradition and started the Women's Spirituality Movement as a force in modern society. This book, which has been out-of-print for a decade, is being reworked into its ultimate version. Updated for the 21st Century with color printing both inside and outside. Fresh versions of all the interior photos have been made from the originals, and there will be new cover art. This edition has an index and other extras as well as the Grandmother Codes, a whole new section envisioned by Z during the 2020 virtual Goddess Festival, and fleshed out by Z and several other priestesses and Goddess scholars into their final form.

Wonderful revised edition of the Holy Book of Women's Mysteries by Suzanne Budapest. A foundational text for anyone on the Dianic Path, or any woman-centric Path.

There is some controversial content concerning men as Sacred Sons or Kouretes. They are never over women, however men have an important role on the peripheral, and not leaders in any way over the Circle of Women. You simply have to read it to understand all the nuances. We're living a patriarchy, so there are those who won't let men fulfill any role until it (patriarchy) falls. IF we were living in an equal society (& we are not), this would absolutely work. We live in a real world that includes men born of women, so something to think about should things change. Until then, keep your eyes on the women and let men figure out how to extract themselves from a toxic life of their own making.
