I had high hopes for this one and the characters were likeable enough. However, the sudden plot twist and Rishelle's need to leave their trip early completely blindsided me. The couple have a secret son, Ford. Her best friend NEVER made any mention of the little boy and, her husband, Ben's best friend, didn't mention it either despite having numerous conversations with Ben and his desire to get back with Rishelle. One would think her child would have come up at some point. It was completely unbelievable and ruined the remainder of the novel.
