Get ready for the second invasion of Little Miss and Little Mr. Men! That's right - those zany, pint-sized characters are back. Easy enough for young readers and witty enough for adults!Little Miss Neat keeps her home as tidy as can be -- until Mr. Muddle comes to visit!
Roger Hargreaves was a British cartoonist, illustrator and writer of children's books. He created the Mr. Men series, Little Miss series and Timbuctoo series, intended for young readers. The simple and humorous stories, with bold, brightly coloured illustrations, have sales of more than 85 million copies worldwide in 20 languages.
I have decided that everyone living in the Mr. Men and Little Miss universe is a psychology patient. It must be some sort of village for people suffering psychosis. Little Miss neat is soooo OCD. She needs some acupuncture. Mr. Muddle is so mixed up, poor thing. These characters need some serious help.
This was a fun little read and it always makes my nephew happy to read them. I love getting them to have something to share with him. It's been fun and there are plenty more to go too.
I love the wall paper in Miss Neat's house. IT is pretty cool. Roger does some awesome wallpaper drawings.
The manner in which Little Miss Neat likes to keep her house tidy is rather charming, she even goes to great lengths to clean up a puddle on her garden path.
It's always fun when other characters pop up in these books and whilst Little Miss Neat is away on holiday, her cottage has a visitor who mixes everything up unintentionally.
Thankfully Little Miss Neat saw the funny side, it could have been worse - Mr. Clumsy could have visited!
Love this book, one of my childhood favorites. My Girl Scouts leader gave it to me and she said "Miss Neat" reminded me of me, and that "Mr. Muddle" reminded her of one of my best guy friends at the time. I always thought that was hilarious, and since then it has been special to me, and makes me want to own the rest of the books in this series one day :]
Ah, Mr Men and Little Miss, how wonderful you are!
These books made up so much of my childhood. No matter what I would go ahead and pick one up. I worked my way through them all a couple of times. Each one has a wonderful story for the child to engage with, each character being fun to read.
Everyone has a bias for their favourite character, yet every book is delightful.
I absolutely loved these Mr Men and Little Miss books. I remember getting them from my granny every week. There was so much from these simple characters, I remember filling my little bookshelf with all these books making sure I had got them all in right order. I wish I still had these books but somehow most of them got lost with many house moves or my mum gave the rest away. If I ever have kids, I will make sure they get the chance to experience these wonderful, colourful books.
Her character remind me of my mother, she likes to place everything in its proper place and arranging house in a good way, she always say to me that a real lady must know how to arrange her house, keeping things in a good shape, I guess I took this after my mother ^_^ I like to arrange things around house and can't endure seeing anything here or there. Nice story really.
The 'Mr Men' and 'Little Miss' books are so simple yet so effective. I love the way that all the characters are linked and how characters pop up in other stories!
The books are great for encouraging young children to read because they are interesting, have a variety of simple language and are short enough that young children don't get bored! Children love collecting all the characters too.
Mr. Muddle forgot to mail the letter to Miss Neat letting her know that he was going to visit. She is on a vacation when he arrives. Things aren't in the right place when she comes home. She won't plan on taking a vacation next year, but maybe if she locked the door it wouldn't be a problem.
Another over the top fun story from Hargreaves. I just adore these books, they are light and fluffy and like a cloud of reading joy that you can wrap yourself in for a few minutes of carefree entertainment. Then you get even more fun when you come here and read the reviews of people who must think it is War and Peace and write reviews complaining of all the wrongs in the books. For me this is pure fun. Little Miss #3.
found little miss neat quite charming, although i think i would explode if i had to deal with a mr muddle irl :-) and the illustrations were really cute!
I'd like to be living like Little Miss Neat. A place for everything and being neat and tidy, knowing where everything is. I know where my things are and always like to clean up before going away too! Knowing you are coming back to a clean house is great! Or that's what Little Miss Neat thought that was what she was coming home to!
Little Miss Neat, please meet Ms Marie Kondo. You two will love one another sparking joy all day long. This book reminds me about the stacks of books everywhere on my bedroom floor. They won’t like it. Where should I begin to declutter? Oh well. The day will come.
I liked the fact that even know Little Miss Neat is obsessed with being neat, she didn’t get upset at Mr Muddle because I most definitely would have. Hafsa heard and learnt the word tidy for the first time and found the phonetics of the word very funny.
The Little Miss series is an excuse to see the Mr. Men characters again while introducing new silly characters. I have a soft spot for Mr Muddle so I rather enjoyed this one.
Little miss neat is neat and she lives twopin cottage do you know why because she is as neat as twopins. She can’t even stand a mess really and why she can’t stand a mess is because of her name
