Little Miss Scatterbrain is so forgetful! No wonder she has trouble with her daily chores.
Mr. Men and Little Miss? Get ready for the second invasion of Little Miss and Little Mr. Men! That's right - those zany, pint-sized characters are back. Easy enough for young readers and witty enough for adults!
Roger Hargreaves was a British cartoonist, illustrator and writer of children's books. He created the Mr. Men series, Little Miss series and Timbuctoo series, intended for young readers. The simple and humorous stories, with bold, brightly coloured illustrations, have sales of more than 85 million copies worldwide in 20 languages.
I really feel for Miss Scatterbrain. Life seems hard when you can’t even remember where you put the milk. It was in the oven which is a health concern. I think she needs a home or assisted living at least. This loses its fun to me as I have some family members who have had dementia. Well, at least the story turns out alright and the chicken scene was very funny.
My nephew isn’t as into the LIttle Miss series as much, but he has this book and I would like to read more of them.
Poor Little Miss Scatterbrain is a very mixed up lady. She went to the bank for sausages, forgets everyone's names and put milk in the oven. Elementary children love reading Little Miss Scatterbrain and find the humor very funny. It also offers to expand their knowledge that in England they use a note called a pound for money. This is just one of a delightful series for children to enjoy.
Ah, Mr Men and Little Miss, how wonderful you are!
These books made up so much of my childhood. No matter what I would go ahead and pick one up. I worked my way through them all a couple of times. Each one has a wonderful story for the child to engage with, each character being fun to read.
Everyone has a bias for their favourite character, yet every book is delightful.
I absolutely loved these Mr Men and Little Miss books. I remember getting them from my granny every week. There was so much from these simple characters, I remember filling my little bookshelf with all these books making sure I had got them all in right order. I wish I still had these books but somehow most of them got lost with many house moves or my mum gave the rest away. If I ever have kids, I will make sure they get the chance to experience these wonderful, colourful books.
Little Miss Scatterbrain is extremely scatterbrained.
Poor Little Miss Scatterbrain, she is so muddled and forgetful that she should be under guardianship for her own safety. It seems cruel to laugh at someone who isn’t in command of her faculties and for whom it is impossible to navigate ordinary everyday tasks. The incident at the bank illustrates how easily something terrible could happen to vulnerable people like her.
One of the funniest and memorable stories in the Little Miss collection.
Little Miss Scatterbrain is a delightful amusing character, the comic timing as she confuses both a bank manager and butcher is wonderfully written.
I always like it when other characters appear, which of course adds to more muddling. I liked to think they're all looking out for her well being, especially Mr. Happy who comments on her forgetful nature.
First of all, I think Roger Hargreaves has really outdone himself in his way of drawing Little Miss Scatterbrain. Her story is so funny, right from the cover on through, it turns out.
Best of all is her encounter with the banker. You'll see.
Perfect timing, and achieving that for a picture book is quite a feat.
FIVE STARS, accompanied by a soundtrack of roaring laughter.
There are moments where at some point in our lives we are all scatterbrained and so it is great to welcome Little Miss Scatterbrain to the family of little miss characters! A great read again. Little Miss #17
Little Miss Scatterbrain seems to have a severe brain injury rather than a forgetful nature. I wish I could remember what I thought of this one as a kid.
