Living with my ex-sister-in-law/bestest friend and my nephews has been amazing these last few months. I never understood why she tolerated my brother for as long as she did, but I'm glad she fought for herself and her kids when she ended things with him after he cheated on her. My parents have lost their minds choosing to support my brother and his slore...I can't do it. I can't pretend like I'm even remotely alright with what he's done. I'm so stinkin' happy when she lands herself a real man, a Sexy Lawyer Man, to pamper her, treat her and her kids so well, and love her the way she desevers. Paige is a saint, and I'm blessed to have her in my life. I want to be her when I grow up, unfortunately, I'm too hot-headed for sainthood. At her baby shower, I meet her man's best friend, Owen Reeves and the sparks fly from the moment I open the door and see that heinous t-shirt he's wearing. And every second I spend with him only cements the chemistry we share isn't limited to witty banter, but extends into the bedroom and beyond. When a friend from grad school desperately needs legal help, Owen jumps in to help her and I fall a little deeper in love.
However, the universe is a cruel mistress. It would seem I have found a Sexy Lawyer of my own, but doing the right thing puts everything at risk.
Author's This is book two of the Sexy Lawyer Man series. Each book focuses on a new couple, with recurring characters and story lines. It is best to read them in order. Crude humor, strong sexual content, and coarse language run rampant, so beware before you read. P.S. There is a brief description of sexual child abuse pertinent to the continuing story line. If this is difficult for you, please do not read.
1. I am totally not interested in hearing about characters “taking a $hit” and “pinching it off” in my romance books. 🤮🤮🤮 2. The MCs have “screaming”, “roaring” $ex while a young boy, who was just r@ped, is in the next room able to hear them. 🤬🤬🤬 3. This book was supposed to be about Dani and Owen but it was more about Audrey, Keenan and Nolan.

Pretty dang good book. Not as humorous or as light hearted as the first book. Most of the same characters, this book is now Dani, the sister in law from the first book and Owen, the divorce lawyer and friend of Lucas. Another soulmate from first meeting and immediately dreaming of marriage. I wasn't crazy on how these two seemed determined not to have kids, which a lot of couples don't nowadays to an accidental pregnancy to 5 children in the epilogue.
The humor also went from funny jokes being a little dirty to toilet talk. Kind of meh.
What took me out of this book was basically it became more of a book about the third couple (I assume) Audrey and Lincoln and sidelined Dani and Owen. The book also became much darker, instead of cheating exes it's child r@pe and murder.
Still a decent book but I'm nervous to read the third now. Not sure how we went from sunshiny and laughing to shadows and darkness that fast.

I never imagined that Dani and Owen we’re gong to be together, it fits though. It fits very well. The characters compliment each other very well and the chemistry between them was amazing . I loved that Dani did not hold back when it came to her sexual desires and that’s absolute great. Everything about this book was great. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Dani is full of spitfire and humor. Tough as can be but soft when needed. Owen knew right away that her sassy ways would keep him on his toes. Life has many challenges and they face them head on as a family. Need more of the MC and Keenan.
There was so much to this story! While there was light and laughter, there was also heavy and heartbreak. As always, Mirrah handles the hard stuff well. Owen and Dani are awesome. I love their banter. Their chemistry is off the charts. So much laughter.
I loved Dani and Owen's story and also the side story that developed making you want what's next in the series. The characters came across as very real when it came to emotions and reactions which I loved. I can't wait for what is next in the series!
Love that they met at a baby shower, interest based on a T-shirt, immediate chemistry, get involved in a drama and end up a family of multiples when not going to be more than as a couple.
