When friends fix you up, it’s either going to be a spectacular failure or a fascinating first date. Unfortunately for Arthur, it’s the owners of the Bound & Controlled club who fix him up and his first date is an email. So it’s going to be a fascinating failure?
Joseph knows his terrible schedule and long work trips make meeting people difficult…and they make meeting Daddies even harder. But after months of exchanging emails with the sweet Dom with a dry sense of humor, he’s starting to wonder if he’s finally found the Daddy of his dreams…one who’s funny and completely supports his passion for cereal and comfort food.
Any man who mails you cereal is a keeper, right?
**Author's Note**
While the Bound & Controlled world is under the Shaw side of my world, this sweet age play book is definitely an M.A. Innes story. My books as Shaw Montgomery are the more traditional side of BDSM, and my books as M.A. Innes are filled with sweet age play and fun things like puppy play. Since Daddy Loves Confidence straddled both sides, I decided to put it under both names. Daddy Loves Confidence was originally included in the Dirty Daddies Anniversary Anthology in 2022, and no material changes have been made to the story.
Daddy Loves Confidence is book 4,5 in the Tender Control series by M.A. Innes. I loved Daddy Loves Confidence! It's the story of Arthur and Joseph. They've been sending letters, texts and having phone calls for a while now but this is the first time they meet in person.... I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy and very well written.
DNF @?. I'm not really into Daddy/Little kink, so I don't know why I picked this up, other than I've read a few books by this author that I liked and thought, "meh. why not?!"
Well, I clearly wasn't in the mood because I didn't get far into this book and ended up just jumping to the conclusion so see how it ends.
Not really fair for me to rate this book as a result.
DNF @65% ... it's been a while since I've tried one of this author's books, in either of her incarnations. I enjoyed so many of her early ones and love the gentle introduction she provided into certain kinks, but .. yeah. This one reminded me why I've skipped her books recently, as they just feel so endlessly repetitive now and her writing style no longer does it for me. I find myself bored at what I'm assuming is intended to be cuteness. "It's not you, it's me."

Joseph knows that his terrible work schedule makes meeting people difficult and that makes meeting Daddies even harder but after months of exchanging emails with Arthur who is a sweet Dom with a dry sense of humour who appears to be the Daddy of his dreams who is funny and supports his passion for cereal and comfort food. Surely any man who mails cereal has to be worth keeping?
I really enjoyed this novella with the overworked Joseph and the caring and gentle Arthur and how their relationship started online via email but that meant that when they did meet for real they already had a solid relationship to build upon. They were just so sweet together and I loved the way that they story ended. This was easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Brilliant story of how two workaholics find what they need. Joseph is often working in different countries, but knows he needs a daddy. He's a very nervous person who overthinks everything. Arthur has been working all over the country with his job and need a change and a boy of his own. Conner introduced them , but they started by emailing each other, as they both worked away from home. Loved how the story grows from pen palls to actually meeting. Looking forward to seeing if this gets extended x
Ok, this is a short story well written, no backstory, no building relationship, no growing characters... nevertheless you finish it knowing a whole lot about the kind of people Arthur and Joseph are, what they want together and how their relationship is going to be. Four stars, because I felt a bit rushed reading this.
This was a simply lovely novella that just hit all the right feels. What starts as an online/long distance Daddy/boy relationship blossoms into some much more when the two finally meet! But don't tell Conner he was right! Lol A sweet story in the Tender Control universe and definitely a must read!
What a great addition to the Tender Control series. And we got to see Ben. Usually we get more Conner with Ben reigning him in. I love how we got some of the emails that led up to them meeting in person. What a great read.
This is the first book of MA Innes I’ve been able to get thru in quite awhile so yay! I really liked both MCs but I was hoping for a bit more. The blurb was all about getting to know each other thru emails but there wasn’t much of a before they meet story.
