Corrupt Cupid #5

Be Mine, Cruel Valentines

Rate this book
I’ve been tormented by three a-holes my whole life; Theon, Foxyn, and Leyton. From sticking me in lockers to giving me wedgies to stripping me naked and laughing while I try to run home these three have done it all.

I hated them and their cruel games.

I’m their senior, I shouldn’t let them push me around.

But at some point the pain turned to pleasure and I…liked it. Their wicked glances, their devilish grins, their endless teasing. A few well placed words and I’m a wet, squirming mess.

Now? I can’t get enough of them. I don’t want to share them with anyone else. They will be mine. My cruel Valentines.

Be Mine, Cruel Valentines is part of a multi-author collab. Ditch the hearts and flowers and step into the dark world of Corrupt Cupid. Each book can be read as a standalone, but why not grab each and every deranged romantic tale as you slip into a place where darkness rules?

This book starts off with a flashback to when the guys are all in high school. Ramsey is older than the other MCs, but they bully him relentlessly. What's interesting is that Ramsey kind of likes the attention because he's all but ignored and pushed aside at home.

“You used to run from us. Now you’re chasing us?” I shrugged. “Times change.”

The story picks up six years later when Foxyn, Leyton and Theon are all in college together. They're each other's best friends, family, everything. They have different interests, but they're basically a single unit.

Am I a good guy? No, I was horrible, but so were they. It was why we deserved each other.

During this jump in time, Ramsey has been off learning some life lessons and toughening up thanks to his crime family roots. Even thought it's messed up, he realizes that he misses and craves the attention the guys gave him. It made him feel wanted and special unlike the way his family treats him. He makes it his mission to find them and show them that they need him just as much as he does them.

I always knew I wanted them, whatever that meant. I never thought about how I felt about them beyond the burning lust I had for them. Shit, I think I fell in love with my bullies.

The sex in this book is HOT. So so hot and dirty. I loved it. The guys like it rough and Ramsey wants it rough. They mesh so well.

“I will fucking ruin you,” Foxyn growled. I met his gaze. “Don’t promise me a good time unless you plan to deliver.”

One by one Ramsey slowly reveals himself to each of the guys. They are all intrigued by their interactions with him and decide they need to find out more about why he's suddenly shown back up in their lives.

I didn’t give a damn if he agreed to be ours or not. He was. We owned every inch of him. It was his fault.

The guys give him kind of an insane test of loyalty, which he passes, but at a great cost to his health. Due to this, the guys start to realize that they missed Ramsey being in their lives and their unique connection to each other.

“Don’t you see how hungry we are for you?”

This is not your typical love story, but it works for them. It worked for me too! I really enjoyed it. Just know what you are getting into before starting the book. Check the TWs.

He was an anomaly, a temptation, a distraction, and so much more. Above all else, Ramsey felt perfect for us.

It was hard to get into (that’s what he said) the story. But it did picked up for me. I liked their dynamic. It was definitely fucked up and dark, but the Harem worked so good even though I liked poly better. This is the first Harem that I actually like. The first jerk off scene was so fucking hot 😋 but the hotness kinda dies down a little afterwards :’)

It wasn’t memorable to me, but it fits to the dark, crazy and kinky novella mood. However, I wasn’t a fan of the plotline and writing. The flow of the story and the side characters felt a little sloppy. I only enjoyed the harem.

Be Mine, Cruel Valentine is the fifth and final book in the Corrupted Cupid series. We have Ramsey, who was bullied relentlessly in his senior year by three freshmen, Foxyn, Leyton and Theon. Those three are tight; they are like brothers. Six years later, when his former bullies are in university, Ramsey reappears before them; now it's time for him to claim them.

I was excited for this story, but sadly it fell a bit flat for me. While there is no redemption for the bullies (they are as cruel as ever), and Ramsey is no saint as he became a twisted man, I thought it would be darker. It just fell a bit short of what I wanted. Don't get me wrong; this book has violence, blood, and pain, it's an extreme bully romance. I had an issue with Ramsey's personality, but I really liked Leyton out of the bunch. We also get an appearance by Elio from Savage.

This book is level 5 spice. It's extremely hot, no question about that. The sex is rough, violent and unhinged. I enjoyed it. While this is MMMM, the bullies do not have a relationship with each other instead, it's one bottom and three tops type of arrangement. While I'm not crazy about poly/harem stories, if I'm going to read one I prefer that type of dynamic so that was a plus for me!

This was an "It's me, not the book" situation. I think most people will enjoy it - those who are into these tropes. Please check TWs, as this story is not for everyone.

Such a fun and enjoyable dark unhinged possessive MMMM romance that I could not get enough of it. Ramsey plays such a fun and dangerous game with his prey and watching his men slowly realize his game was immensely entertaining to see their equally psychotic reactions.

I loved this story and could not get enough of these characters are their bonkers love story that had me hooked from beginning to end.

I never thought the day would come where I'd get my hands on a bully trope book and disliked it with all my heart.

Around 10% in I knew I wasn't going to like the book.

This was just terrible.

Ramsey was a kid being bullied by 3 guys much younger than him in high school. He was bullied at home, he was severly bullied at school and he had noone, no friends, no loving parents, he was lonely and alone.

Years after high school he came back for the 3 bullies - Foxyn, Theon and Leyton and their names irritated me just as much as the story did - and he infiltrated himself into their lives.

🟣 These 3 guys are still the same jackasses , there's nothing sexy or hot about them, I feel like they were complex characters with important history, but sadly it wasn't talked about, I absolutely wanted to know more about them, but all I got was just their nasty mouths and terrible personalities .

🔵 Ramsey wants them at all costs and he surrenders himself again to their torture, it turns out Ramsey is a masochist when it comes to these guys, so I was waiting for that twist where these bullies turn around (at least a little bit), remember him and realise he's the missing piece .

Safe to say, I absolutely didn't like the dynamic here, this wasn't your bullies-who-turned-around and are now crazy over the bullied guy, this was more like "we're shitty people and since you're already here, well, we'll just go for it" .
There was no twisted love or insane attraction, they're still terrible and he's still a lonely, bullied kid.

🟡 I have no problem with bullying, with torture if it's wanted, with depraved sex, but I do have a problem when the dynamic between the submissive and the 3 dominant males is this degrading - degrading without it being a kink - even though the story twists it around as such, but it really isn't, Ramsey was supposed to at least feel wanted at some point, yet these guys were just too brutal.

They leave him out to die, they don't check in after, they're just all torturing him without any other undertone than malice, this wasn't read as insane lust or want, their lives didn't change, nothing shifted, they just got themselves a very pliant fuck toy, and no, not in a sexy way .

🟢 The worst part of their interaction was when they decided to cut him off, but never told him and he got really desperate, he was calling them and sending texts, I mean, they were the ones who should've realised what they had in him and do anything to keep him, right? Instead it didn't really seem like they wanted him at all .

Those I-love-you's were LAUGHABLE.

🔴 What I expected for the end result was Ramsey feeling cherished, loved, appreciated, but he was just passed around a little bit without any other significant shift in their relationship , I definitely didn't feel it.

It's one thing for this to be erotica and Ramsey wanting to feel used and abused, but this wasn't the case here, maybe in Ramsey's mind, but not in reality.

This was Ramsey meeting his bullies and wanting to form a relationship with them, wanting to live with them and never leave , so again, that can't be when the 3 men he forms a bond with still hit him and abuse him and they all pretend it's love .

Good God that was so fucking Hot 🥵🔥
This was some sick and twisted obsession and a abusive relationship.
But I can see why they were meant for each other I thought the cupid was playing around when he decides to paired the bullied guy and his bullies.
I love Ramsey's character and how insane he was he's literally sick in the head and I loved that for him.
The three guys were HAWT AF
Their sex scene always top notch
Dude The food sex near the end 🥵🥵🥵.
This is so demented tho.
My only complaint is that it feels like they were some chapter/part missing on chapter 14 like their reasoning would make sense if it happened on the book.
The third act just didn't do it for me.

This might be a triggering story because the author did not hold back.

MMMM Romance?
Bullies Smutfest
2.5 Stars ⭐️

This book just didn’t quite work for me but the smut was sooo hot that I’m giving it a generous rating. The names in this killed me 💀 and they alllll ended with a “N” so I kept losing track of who each person was and it just annoyed me. 😂 We have Theon, Foxyn, Leyton who bully and abuse Ramsey and then later some dude named Peyton appears who really wasn’t needed not to mention having to read “Peyton and Leyton” in the same sentence was just confusing. My reason for not liking this though has nothing to do with the bullying/abuse Ramsey goes through at the hands of these weirdos because by the end of this I was fully on board with him being tortured. 😂

The books I’ve liked so far in this series have had insane characters too but I least understood their connection no matter how depraved it was. I just couldn’t get there with these guys 🤷🏻‍♀️

Couldn't even finish. Partners beings violent with each other is something I never liked, I read a lot of dark romances but this was pure bully and violence for the sake of violence. Definitely not my cup of tea.

It was twisty, toxic, smutty & I enjoyed the hell outta it! I immediately downloaded it after reading about it in Brea's newsletter today 😆.
Completed in a little over 4 hrs, in one seating!
I loved seeing Ramsey & the boys whose names are hard to remember lol.
Yes, they bullied him in school, but then 6 years later he came for more, this time he could've killed them, but chooses not to -too obsessed with him, oh the rush that gives me!

This was a smutfest, I loved it 😆. Just the perfect decompressor.

Honestly it has more pages than what I consider a novella, but the author said it's a novella, I ain't sure what to call it...other than hot!

Be Mine, Cruel Valentine's is Brea Alepoù addition to the Corrupt Cupid series. I wanted to read this book cause I wanted to step out of what I typically read and I wanted to read something different. Something... Darker.

And oh boy! I definitely got darker! The description of this book intrigued me, a guy falling for his bullies? That's unique, I don't come across books with that topic very often. I thought that maybe the bullies would have had redemption of sorts, or become less violent, however, I was wrong about that.

Leyton, Theon, and Foxyn, bullied Ramsey all throughout high school. Now that they are in college Ramsey blows back into their lives, no longer the same man from years before. Ramsey knows how to torment people now too, he knows how to kill. Yet... He still wants his bullies to well... Bully him.

It might just be because I'm a softie at heart, but I just couldn't get passed the abuse in this story. And it just kept continuing as well. These men physically abused Ramsey and Ramsey liked it. I couldn't get over that, it was very off-putting to me. Also, these men would seem to come to a conclusion about Ramsey being theirs, then they get mad and ignore him, only to then come around and beat up the guy who was trying to befriend Ramsey... I just didn't really get why there was so much back and forth. I wish there was a little less of using someone as a punching bag and more depth and relationship building.

Even though I didn't personally love this, it was really well written.

If you like high steam stories with morally grey characters this is for you!!

*I received an early copy of this book and this is my honest review.*

I had to take a couple days before writing this review. Honestly I’m shocked how much I absolutely loved this book from the very first page. This story is so far from what I normally read but I’ve really been in the mood for all male reverse harems and when I was looking some up I found this one. A friend had read it so I asked her thoughts and what kind of triggers I could expect. Being fully prepared I jumped in and went on a wild ride!! I finished this book in one sitting and had no desire to put it down.

This is not a light book. It will not be for everyone. There’s heavy bullying, physical abuse, humiliation, you name it, it’s probably there. Usually I would not like these things but the reason I did was that the main character Ramsey is off his rocker and totally insane. So he actually enjoys and craves his harem’s crazy brand of attention. Also it’s fiction not reality!

Ramsay’s men are also pretty out there so definitely make sure you’re in the mood for three men who are crazy possessive, toxic and probably shouldn’t be together! Theon, Foxyn and Leyton were such different characters but were super close and will always be there for each other. I loved how they made it work with Ramsay and I would love to read a sequel.

Again be cautious when picking up this book but if you can suspend reality and enjoy the darkness this was an amazing book!

Ramsey was bullied by Theon, Foxyn and Leyton in high school, physically and emotionally. In college, Ramsey pursues them for more abuse sexually and his twisted version of love. This book was brutal and undeniably cruel and smutty. I kept waiting for this abusive obsession to transform but it doesn't. To each their own, but I found no redemption in any of these bullies and no growth in the victim, just a disturbing need for abuse as proof of love and a disassociation and callousness for other people in all four. It was a unique take of Brea's on bullying, abusive attraction, and what constitutes love with triggers galore for violence, abuse and bullying. A fascinating book that made me cringe inside, it truly fits a dark love you can't look away from. And it haunts you! I received a copy of this book and this is my voluntary opinion.

🔴WARNING🔴
This book will NOT be for everyone!! It’s super dark and very cruel, when I say it’s toxic, violent full of abuse, bullies to the extreme, I mean it.

Please read triggers before going into this book!

Jezze I mean the spicy is 5 star it’s pure filth, (which I’m here for!) this book is MMMM, 3 tops one bottom.

This is one F-up relationship, I mean it works for them!! But it’s so much!!

Ramsey is the abused, from his his family to his bully’s he’s nothing but a toy, a punching bag, yet he still has all consuming desires for the 3 that choose to treat him so badly.

He’s older now and has connections, he could do his worst to get revenge, but he chooses to go back and finish what they all started.

I’m going to need to read some fluff now to get over all wrong in this book!!!

It’s the 4th book and the final story in the corrupt Cupid series and what a book to end on!!

Read for a group challenge week 7. Not so sure about going after the guys after the piss swirly or even the fact they did it after he'd been hurt. Anti-cupid was really pushing for it. Time skip Ramsey was cold, badass and manipulative. Things started changing when Leyton and the others realised who he was. Didn't like Peyton. Third act breakup was random and confusing, so was the non existent apology and just mine mine mine. I did like this. The care with the hospital was nice. Gotta love MMMM.

This book is a little too messy for me; a little too over the place.

I don’t particularly mind about the bullying, I knew there was going to be hardcore bullying after reading the reviews so it’s not that. It was just everything else.

I found Ramsey to be messy and erratic. He was all over the place with his emotions and his actions. He was “portrayed” as dark, and yes, some of the things he did were dark as fuck, but I just saw him as an “edgy” boy who was messing with things that didn’t fit his natural personality.

The bullies are just there for me. They don’t have a single good quality between them so I didn’t care much for either of them.

At 34% they are already having sex with Ramsey. Okay.
The whole “cupid pierces their heart and suddenly they are in love/lust with Ramsey and vice versa” didn’t float with me. I found it to be insta-love/lust which I absolutely despise. That’s what I get for skipping the other books of the series. ⬅️ honestly? Now that I think about it, I think this is why I find the book to be messy and all over the place. The “romance” itself IS messy and all over the place with no rhythm nor tone.

Also the Spanish in here was wild. 99.9% of the time it was badly written BUT the author warned us that they didn’t speak Spanish and that it was probably inaccurate, which fine I guess BUT then it leads me to say…. Then why use it at all? Imagine if my latina ass, who only speaks Spanish and English as a second language, decided to write a book with a Russian character and decided that my character should speak Russian every once in a while but I don’t speak the language myself and I don’t even bother finding someone that actually speaks the language to help me, instead of relying on Google Translate? Russians would be like “wtf is she trying to say here…?” That is exactly what every Spanish speaker will feel when reading this. For example, Ramsey is called “mi pequeño puta” (and something else equally badly written that I can’t remember right now). “Mi pequeño puta” is written wrong for what the author is trying to say. I assume they are trying to say “my little slut”. If my Spanish speaking self wanted to say that, I would simply say “puto” or, if I wanted it to be demeaning and in the diminutive form, I would say “putito” or “puta”/“putita” if I am using the female form of the word. Some might say “well, your english isn’t any better” and to that I say, I am not selling you a book… I don’t actively choose to write the language wrong and simply wash my hands off the situation by telling you “well, I don’t speak the language but i am going to use it anyways lmao”

Anyways, it has a lot of 3+ stars so, do with that what you will…

...Don't tell anyone I loved this

Look, I love dark romance as much as the next girly who didn't suffer enough trauma in childhood but this was wild. I've read my fair share bully romances, and enjoyed them because see above, but there's a bit of a twist to this. I'm not going to say what it is because it's the basis for the entire story but you're really gonna need to believe the romanticy for this one. I mean I was in to it but I can acknowledge it was nonsensical.

Ramsey...look mister man needs help but I can understand him and I liked that he could hold his own. Leyton was swoon. Theon is a golden retriever puppy who knows how to use a knife. And Foxyn (I refuse to believe that's a real name) scared me but my toxic trait had me asking what's good. The point is I have a serious sweet spot for toxic possessiveness. Plus that final scene and the hospital *chef's kiss*

Real talk though, this book is not for everyone. If you don't like when you're contemporaries go off the deep end and say eff you to reality, you're not going to like this. Even the girlies who love a dark romance might find this one to be a bit too much at times. There are trigger warnings and they are not to be taken lightly. Ramsey is heavily bullied by these guys. They're not good people and there was literally a point where I was questioning what I was rooting for. But Brea Alepou is really good at adding just enough sweetness to the right areas to keep this in the realm of romance. There is an HEA, even if that HEA happens to people who need some serious therapy. I do wish we got to know more about the guys and what made them thick as thieves. I also would have loved to know what SSAU stood for and what kind of school has fighting as a division one sport but I have questions about the wrong things. All in all me and my toxic traits had a good time. If you like bully romances, you'll enjoyed this one. Hell, if you like when your dark books have you questioning is this really a romance, you'll definitely have fun. 4.5 stars but I'm rounding up because I have problems. (Seriously though, Foxyn supposed to be a boxer? What school is this and what is their admissions process?)

I'm in a dark-romance-era (yes, again), and I'm working through the Mayhem Universe (including authors as such as Skylar Snow and Brea Alepoú). This universe includes the Mafia Daddies series, the Vitale Brothers series (which I've read), The Hitters MC series, and a few standalones (which were actually part of different multi-author series). Here's Brea Alepoú's "Be Mine, Cruel Valentines." It's part of the (multi-author) Corrupt Cupid series.

["I’ve been tormented by three a-holes my whole life; Theon, Foxyn, and Leyton. From sticking me in lockers to giving me wedgies to stripping me naked and laughing while I try to run home these three have done it all. For years, I hated them and their cruel games. My cruel Valentines."]

A bully, why-choose romance. Wow. This was fucked up but also fluffy as hell. It was depraved and desperate. It was universes colliding and second chances. And gotta say, when Brea said her inspiration for this novella was the quote “stop bullying me or I’ll cum” makes soooo much sense.

These four were unconventional and a little psychotic and a lot insane. But…it worked for them. Eventually. After some communication and a favor from someone’s mafia uncle (heeeey, Elio!).

Trigger Warnings: torture, toxic relationship, violence, abuse, bully (heavy), and more.

💘 I think I fell in love with my bullies. But when? 😈

"We were brothers forged through pain, blood, and trauma. There was no separation, and it was the last thing I wanted."

"To have him all to myself, I needed to ruin what he had right now."

"Six years of wanting and obsessing over them and having the three of them in front of me at once were pushing me over the edge of sanity."

"The moonlight bathed the three monsters in my life and beautiful light. I wanted nothing more than to worship at their feet."

What a terrific way to end this series. I love me a good bully book, so I was super excited to read this one. This book did not disappoint at all 😁. This was a different take on bully, which I loved. The smut was top tier as well 🥵🥵.

This story follows Ramsey, Leyton, Foxyn, and Theon. Ramsey went to high school with these three and was bullied and tormented by them. Despite what they did, they saw him and gave him attention, so he became obsessed with them. Que 6 years later and Ramsey is back in their lives. They don't recognize him at first, so Ramsey messes with them. I loved how Ramsey was a dangerous man, but he let his men abuse him, lol. Their chemistry was 🔥🔥🔥. I loved how they were rough yet soft with him. Ramsey was a different breed of man. The rougher they were, the more he 💦💦😏. This was definitely a different type of love story, but I highly enjoyed it 😌.

This bully romance was like nothing I've ever read before, and I kinda loved it. Don't get me wrong--Leyton, Theon, and Foxyn were horrible to Ramsey in high school, and the first chapters didn't sugarcoat any of their treatment of him--but when dark cupid's arrow struck, everything tilted sideways. Pain and pleasure became tangled up, and being the center of three bullies' worlds became everything Ramsey was seeking. I was fascinated by Ramsey's hunt to make his bullies his, and the fact that he waited six long years to enact his plan only added to the suspense and sexual tension. It was wild to see the lengths Ramsey went to make Theon, Leyton, and Foxyn see him, and somehow the fucking and fighting and heady lust turned into a twisted, possessive love that nothing could break. I devoured every sexy moment these four shared, and while none of these men were nice people, they also fit together like perfect puzzle pieces. I didn't really understand the Peyton party scene, but it was the make or break moment they all needed to realize how serious they wanted to be about each other.

**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

The title was very fitting for this book in the series because the 3 guys were very cruel. If you enjoy whychoose and bully romance, you should definitely read this. This is not a sweet romance, and will not turn out that way. When our main MC, Ramsey, realizes that he might like parts of the rough treatment he gets from his bullies during high school, that's when the seed is planted.

Foxyn, Leyton, and Theon are bullies in every sense of the word, and they definitely don't hold back, especially with Ramsey. Check content warnings to make sure you can stomach some of the stuff they do to him. They get very rough and this is a bit dark with how they all turn out in a 6-year timejump after high school. Though they don't really stop being bullies, they become possessive of Ramsey after and are a tinyyyyyy bit more considerate when things get a bit too far.

The smut was very hot in this, and rough as is in bully romances. Wished we got that last primal scene ending where we knew how it ended and a last smut scene, but the breakfast one was yummmmm.

This was so hot, filthy and wrong

I love that Brea can somehow make the most twisted desire somehow feel right for the characters involved. It always astounds me. No matter how depraved, brutal or violent it somehow works. You believe that the characters are exactly where they need to be and with who they need to be with. I don’t know really what to say about this book beyond it was scorching and wrong but oh so right at the same time. Ramsey and his boys (because as much as they are possessive, obsessive and controlling I still think of them as his) set the pages on fire. I loved that Ramsey didn’t come back for them until after he’d gone through things, grown, become more settled into the person he needed to be. It made the relationship work far better. The one criticism I would have is I personally dislike the whole near the end of the book break up. It’s just a pet peeve and I didn’t really understand the need for it here but that’s a personal issue. Other than that it was exactly what I had hoped for/expected. A perfect addition to this delightfully twisted series.

Entertaining and good sex.
I thought it would be even hotter, so I guess I'm a little disappointed, but it was still good and moderately hot.

I like that it was a true bully romance, most books who pretend to be that is lying, and it quickly turns into a sugary mess. These guys where true bullies, and I really appreciated that.

But I think the build-up was hotter then the actual sex. It was nothing wrong with it, but nothing special either. It was pretty standard sex, except for like ten seconds of lite D/s.
I think I was hoping for way more domination and humiliation! It was the perfect set-up for it, it honestly feels a little wasted.

But it was a perfectly adequate story, and I could probably read it again sometime. I guess I was just hoping for something wilder, more primal, and definitely more Dom/sub-sex, this was just.. A tiny bit rougher than normal sex basically.

But at least the plot was relatively fresh, it's nice to read something new for once.

It was more of a 3,5 stars for me. I do enjoy bully romance but I just need the bully to have some redeeming qualities and eventually to soften a bit. I would have loved it if we got some backstory for the three bullies and a little bit more information about the time Ramsey spent abroad with his family. Also, the way they started lusting each other was a bit sudden, no explanation, one minute Ramsey was bullied and the next he wanted them. I know it seems like I'm complaining a lot but I did have a good time reading this book. I was hooked and I couldn't stop reading because I was intrigued and because the chemistry between those four was explosive. Just keep in mind that this is a very very very dark book, the bullying is extreme, it doesn't stop and the main character enjoys it. Also, Ramsey was very hurtful towards a few of the side characters too.
