We just got done reading this book. it was the best i have read. caitlin was a girl that had aspergers and didnt understand emotions. she had to go to a teacher named Mrs.Brooks and Mrs.brooks helped her look at the person and understand there emotions. but caitlins brother Devon died and she never knew when she was crying about it. Caitlin always talked about Devon around the house and at school but when she talks about Devon at her house her dad gets sad all the time. Caitlin says its the day our life fell a part. Caitlins mother died from cancer and its just Caitlin and her father around the house.Caitlin doesnt like people getting in her space. Caitlin dosent like loud kids. Then Mrs.brooks told caitlin she was going to her classes recess and the 1st graders recess. When caitlin went to the 1st graders recess she met a boy in a red cap that mother was shot in the shotting acendent like how Devon died. His name was micheal. Caitlin helped micheal be polite and gave him stickers. then one day Caitlin wanted to find closure and she asked her dad to build the chest. then her dad says get quater cut oak wood. so she got a quater and cutted a oak tree in the back. then her dad finally said yes to build it. then when they got done caitlin called her dad Dadoh. it was really funny. then caitlin cut a mocking bird in the chest. they donated it to a school. then josh a mean kid was actually nice then they had a happy ending

Mocking Bird Review
Do you like detailed realistic fiction books? If you do you won’t be able to put down the amazing, interesting, touching, and heartwarming book Mocking Bird. The main character of Mocking Bird is a fifth grade girl named Caitlin who has Aspergers syndrome. Caitlin is also an amazing artist. The descriptions of her drawings are just one way the book is so detailed it almost comes to life! Among many of Caitlin’s problems, like not being able to find friends, the biggest problem of all that she faces is her brother dying in a middle school shooting. Caitlin loved her brother and she misses him even more. When he dies along with some other children and adults it leaves Caitlin, her dad, and the whole town looking for closure. Will she ever find closure and a friend? Read the amazing book Mocking Bird to find out!

Catlin is the main character, she has Asperger syndrome, so she doesn't understand emotions. She has to deal with very hard things like learning to make friends, but mostly she ha sot learn that her brother is dead. Catlin has to learn to work on a group and to use color. At the end she seems to like the idea of using color .Catlin know understands emotions and has a very good friend. I would recommend this book because It shows you the life of this girl and how she deals with it, this books makes the reader understand the significance of what the book really means.

This book puts you in the shoes of a girl struggling with Aspergers. Throughout the story you feel how it is to be treated as a person with Aspergers. I enjoyed reading this book as it allowed me to live life from a new perspective. I would recommend this book to young adults as it would allow them to see life from a different perspective

This was the sweetest and saddest book I have read. A girl named Caitlin has a hard time understanding emotions. Her brother Devon helped Caitlyn so she doesn't look like a fool. But when her brother dies she has a harder time fitting in. She goes to the school consoler twice a day. She is on a quest to find closer and makes a few friends on the way. She is a grate artist.
