This is an anthology of four stories from Science Fiction Adventures, a digest-sized magazine that lasted for a dozen issues from 1956-1958. It was edited by Shaw, as was its sister magazine Infinity, who was an important figure in the genre during the 1950s and '60s. He purchased the first story that Harlan Ellison ever sold, and became an editor for Lancer in the 1960s, where he was the editor who purchased the first Conan paperbacks and used Frank Frazzetta as a cover artist. The four stories collected here are billed as novels but are actually of novella or novelette length. They're fine space opera adventures, but nothing remarkable. The authors include Harry Harrison, John Brunner, Robert Silverberg, and Edmond Hamilton.
