من نسخه چاپ شده توسط نشر امیدسخن به ترجمه جعفر کریمی رو خوندم. سوگیری های اعتقادی مترجم در بعضی از بخش های کتاب، یکم آزاردهنده بود‌. شخصا معتقدم حوزه دین شناسی، حوزه ایه که لازمه اش، دوری از جانب دادی های متعصبانه و نگاه از بیرون گوده. به علاوه که اغلب عکس های انتخاب شده توسط مترجم که به طرز غریبی اصرار به این داشت که خودش شخصا انتخاب کرده و در کتاب گذاشته، فاقد کیفیت مطلوب و یا حتی حداقلی هستند. اما به هر حال، شما میتونید تک و توک اطلاعات مفیدی رو از لابه لای ترجمه بعضا ثقیل و متون بعضا خسته کننده پیدا کنید.

Interesting exploration of titular themes. Would have appreciated more depth on the topic of the Babylonian equivalent of ‘Elysium’ or their fate beyond Hades. Still a very informative read.
