Second, he set off emotions I thought were only in books. My heart couldn’t handle being around the man, and now I was forced to be in his presence every day.

Argumento:

Valentine

Llevaba casi un año trabajando en mi puesto cuando me ascendieron sin contemplaciones a la secretaria del jefe de arriba.

Desafortunadamente, tuve dos problemas con eso; sus empleados eran conocidos por caer como moscas, renunciar o ser despedidos. yo tampoco queria. En segundo lugar, desencadenó emociones que pensé que solo estaban en los libros.

Mi corazón no podía soportar estar cerca de ese hombre, y ahora me veía obligada a estar en su presencia todos los días.

Un regalo y un tormento. Valentine era la persona perfecta para reemplazar a mi última asistente de oficina, pero no sabía si podría tolerar estar cerca de ella de manera segura. Desbloqueó algo que he mantenido oculto durante toda mi existencia. Desde que perdí a mis padres, no había dejado que un alma entrara en mi vida, pero Valentine podría haber derribado esa barrera. Era una pena que ahora fuera mi empleada.



Mi humilde opinión:

En My Valentine una asistente curvilínea y un abogado gruñón se enamoran a primera vista en vísperas del día de los enamorados.

Este fue un romance de oficina que se fue caldeando lentamente entre celos, burlas y momentos picantes. Dentro de toda la exageración del jefe gruñón dominante de las cavernas fue ena lectura entretenida. Hubo alguna intriga y drama por ahí pero no llegó a ser algo importante o peligroso para los protagonistas.

Me gustó el final y los epilogos.

There's a pattern in this series wherein the mmc will act like a jerk towards the fmc because he doesn't know how to handle his obsession. And the fmc will act annoyed but will get putty because she's attracted to the mmc and her body betrays her all the time.

Wyatt and Valentine were just like the other couples, where he's her boss and she works with him and tolerating his grumpiness, and they were both attracted to each other. But at least in this series Wyatt waited for almost two months before he claimed Valentine unlike the other mmcs in this series which only took weeks.

There's nothing new about the story aside from the problems each couple faced. They worked together, fell in love, and got their HEA. I liked the extended epilogues and seeing how they're still in love even after years of being together.

This is book 4 in the series, valentine and Wyatt's story 🖤❤️

Valentine is happy with her job being the receptionist on the lower floor for the building one off the higher up workers informs her after the Christmas holidays she will be moving up to be the big bosses assistant! Hearing this news she is a little worried, his assistants don't have a great time at keeping there jobs. Valentine spends the holidays with her best friends and there husband's and has a great time but it flew by so quickly, next thing she knows she on the way to her new role and nervous as hell..

Wyatt is a very successful attorney, hes handsome, smart, funny and a very grumpy, he has a reputation for being a hard boss, but he's too focused on his work to care. He demands perfection from everyone that works for him. The instant he meets Valentine it's love at first sight and she consumes his thoughts and things definitely shift for him, but he's got to keep reminding himself that she's his employee, so he trys so damn hard to keep himself under control.

He does work hard at trying to not to act on his desires, but every man that looks in her direction he wants to murder them 🤣 he gets so jealous and possessive, she brings out his primal side, the day before valentine’s Day he sends her roses, but unfortunately she also gets roses from someone else. He becomes crazy jealous and that makes him act and they share their first kiss and he makes her see stars 🤩🤣. He leaves for a meeting but he promises her they will continue this later (wink wink)

There story was so good and so f*cking hot 🥵 so much happens, and there back and forth, will they won't they, has you saying tell her/him already!! I adored Wyatt and Valentine, they're just soo perfect for each other, so cute together, it was so steamy and a beautiful love story! I absolutely loved it, I loved how he was so grumpy and she’s so sassy and doesn’t take his shit. This was a new author to me and I devoured all 4 of the books in this series in one day. I wasn't disappointed at all, it made me laugh so much.. I can't wait to read more by this author. Highly recommended

The instant he meets Valentine things shift for him, but she's still his employee so he tries to keep himself under control. Will Wyatt make a move and claim Valentine as his own?

Mixed emotions about this one.
I loved the dynamic that came from how over-protective & dominating Wyatt is compared to Valentine's cheeky submissive nature.
However when it came down to the actual deed in the conference room, I got a huge case of the ick. The sexy talk to each other just didn't suit the characters at all.

I was waiting for this book to be released for days, and C.M did not disappoint. Rich hot grumpy boss, hot sexy assistant with sass and you know the grump is going to become a cave man, me Tarzan You Jane. In the end the boys going to get the girl and true love ing going to win. I LOVE THIS STORY.

whoa….

This book was super hot!! And it had a ton of angst, employees were wilding out… But through all that Mr. king kept his cool. Until the extra flowers were delivered and he saw THE Valentine’s Day card, then he lost it. It was epic!!!

I loved the romance between these two so much that I might have to read the previous books in the series all over again. The tension was great and the moment they got together was explosive! Wyatt and Valentine were steaming up my kindle and I loved it!

I wonder Valentine's parents will get it thru their heads that she doesn't want anything to do with them. They're lucky that King didn't come after them. As busy as he was he knew people in his office was trying to sabotage him. I really enjoyed this.

Thanks to C.M. Steele and the HEA PR staff for a free audio copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions shared are my honest thoughts about this book.

My Valentine is about is Valentine and Wyatt. Valentine who has been at Wyatt's company for over a year ends up promoted to be his new assistant. They immediately develop feelings for each other and go on from there.

I feel as though at this point, I'm just repeating myself and my thoughts, but I didn't enjoy this for the same reasons as I didn't enjoy the first 3 books in the series. I obviously kept reading on in the series because I got audio copies of the entire series and each book was very short (about 2 hours long each) which made them all quick reads and was easy to use to pass the time.

One positive of the audiobook (aside from the nice short length), is that the audio production and narration is good. As with the rest of the series, the narrators, Hector Carrillo and Marie Hawkins both did a great job with the voices, and they did try their best with bringing the story to life. Unfortunately, the stories were just not for me!

Valentine has just been promoted except she doesn’t want the promotion. Her new boss is Wyatt King, who is very successful, very handsome, very smart, and a very grumpy attorney. He demands perfection from everyone that works for him. She’s his new receptionist, instead of working the main desk she now exclusively works for Wyatt. On her first day she’s pulled into law clerk tasks by his main law clerk. When he arrives he wants to know why she not at her desk but doing the law clerks job. He hides his intense attraction to her by being even more gruff. This starts their contentious relationship, he’s grumpy and gruff and she’s sassy and doesn’t take his shit. He works hard to hide his desire for her but relents on Valentine’s Day by sending her roses, unfortunately she also gets roses from someone else. He becomes crazy jealous and they have their first kiss and a little bit more. Turns out the roses were from her bestie who was trying to give Wyatt a push towards Valentine. When her besties husband stops by he thinks it’s a boyfriend and it sends Wyatt into a frenzy and they have their first time in a conference room. He takes her home after and more sexy times. When Wyatt mentions her parents she freaks because they are terrible and she is no contact with them. Wyatt lost his parents when he was younger and chastises her for saying she wishes her parents were dead because his are and he wishes they weren’t. She gets upset and leaves. He panics until her besties husband calls him to tell his Valentine is at their house. He goes there and they both apologize and kiss and make up. He proposes and six weeks later she tells him she’s pregnant. Epilogue ten years later with Valentine pregnant again and both happy with their little family.
I didn’t like how she had no regard to Wyatt’s feelings about the loss of his parents, she acted like a brat to him. I understand her relationship with her parents was awful but wish she had shown sympathy and compassion to her man for his loss.
