Sure, my job at the bakery barely pays the bills and I hate the hours, but if it means that I’m out of my parents’ house, then I’ll take it.
I’m hoping that things start to settle down now. No more drama or fights. I’m looking forward to having a boring life after years of too much excitement and stress living with my parents.
Then he shows up.
She’s who I’ve been searching for.
I’ve been searching for my fated mate for the last three years with no success.
There hasn’t been even the smallest trace of her until, suddenly, she’s right in front of me.
I don’t make the best first impression but that’s okay. Now that I’ve found her, I’ve got the rest of my life to convince her that she’s fated to be mine.
Well that read like an unedited fanfiction from the 2010s. God wtf. I haven't read a relationship this speedrun in a long time. I think I got whiplash.
I don't like insta love stories even when they are fated mates I get instant attraction and stuff but love takes time and work even if the relationship is 'fated' It was a cute short story Although a few things didn't make sense She was human but accepted his story about mates and shifters like she always knew about them and didn't need processing time He shifted and she didn't freak. Even knowing he was going to shift, never seeing it before being human and literally JUST finding out about shifters would throw anyone into a freaked out reaction lol but not his girl - she just says - take me to beeed! lmao
It was all too easy. I don't think these types of stories should be done as short stories. This type needs time to evolve to make the story come to life and be done well. Still it wasn't too bad
Another review mentioned that this was like reading fan fiction. That reviewer was right. Kade was sort of cute--I expected what got from him. Elle? Nah. I didn't like her. She wasn't believable. And I know this is a short, insta-love (which I hate, btw) story, so there can't/won't be a lot of detail, but how do you go from the day after meeting/mating to five years and two kids later? How did Kade's family and/or pack feel about his mate being human? How did they build a house in the middle of nowhere, between two established kingdoms? Did he buy the land or is there some sort of understanding among shifters? There was too much missing from this story for it to be good, IMO.
i liked it, it was a short sweet read, only problem was there was no detail when it comes to small reads, everything feels rushed and hurried.
dual virgins insta love soulmates shifter (wolf) no protection no one/om drama very small drama safe cute and romantic wish had more detail fast read wish was longer hea epilogue w/kids spicy lvl 3/5
Well written story and well developed characters! Elle has finally found a job! She left home as soon as she graduated. Her parents were always arguing with each other and she had had enough! Now she has peace and quiet! A huge man was just outside the door when she left work on the day of her eighteenth birthday! He claims he is her MATE! What!!
Loved this novella a lot. Very quick and to the point beginnings. Absolutely loved the basically drama free approach to a fated werewolf story and especially loved how much Elle surrendered to the call of the wolf in her man’s.
This was a nice little instalove story about a wolf looking for his mate and what happens after he finds her. Bonus points for the epilogue. Quick lunchtime read. 💜
A very short novella. It just hinges on the Royal Rejection series, as it happens in one of the King’s territory. It was way quick with not much to it, but I do enjoy short stories that get right to the happily alway after.
