Ali in Action: The Man, the Moves, the Mouth

Rate this book
Through DVD technology, this breakthrough title about Muhammad Ali is possible. Ali in Action blends insightful sportswriting with real-life examples of Ali's brilliant ring moves and colorful rhetoric. The DVD brings amazing clarity to the text, which covers Ali's ring tactics and oratories--and how he used them to psyche out his opponents. Ali in Action is the first book about the Champ to incorporate a DVD. Not only is there rare footage of Ali's "Pearls of Wisdom," the author has licensed, through  special arrangement with ESPN, highlights of Ali's greatest fights, most of which have been blacked out on television. Included is "The Rumble in the Jungle" (October 1974) in which you will witness Ali's rope-a-dope against George Foreman. Included also are highlights from "The Thrilla in Manila," in which Ali finally beat Joe Frazier.

The life and legend of the greatest boxer without a doubt of all times, Muhammed Ali. A commitment to his beliefs, despite the consequences, endured longer than his title fights. Many of those who found him deplorable at the time wound up appreciating the man, and not just the fighter with the passage of time. No doubt the world was different in the 1960's (or was it?). People disliked him for a variety of reasons-being black, a Muslim, a braggard, and in many eyes a draft dodger. His life and fights, of a contraversial heavy weight boxer who was the /greatest in modern times.
Highly recommend reading whether a boxing fan or not.

The novel is Ali in Action: The Man, The Moves, The Mouth. This book by: Les Krantz is about the historic and remarkable life of arguably the greatest boxer of all time Muhammad Ali. This goes through Ali's earliest starts and how he grew to the famous person most know him as today. His life was truly extraordinary no other person boxed like he did, truly one of a kind with a huge mouth but he was able to bake it up, he talked the talk but also walked the walk.

The book is placed through Ali and his events in life that were important. The scenes mainly take place in big fights he had been in and the story of how he got into that fight and what he had predicted and the outcome. It also gives some info from his home life and how he grew up showing how he became who most all know.

I would recommend this book for sure. I would recommend this for someone who is looking to read a non-fiction book and has sports interests. The thing that I liked about the book is that it went into detail about how he got there and also what he had done at that point in his life. I didn't really dislike anything about this book it was a great non-fiction book in my opinion.
