All the Devils Are Here

I always wanted to love a monster… I just didn’t think I’d need to be stranded on an island to do it.

My name is Meghan Irela, and I’ve just been fired.

Not my proudest moment, but I’ll be all right. A trip to Paris is just what I need. Visit my friends, ignore my problems, and pretend I’m not completely alone.

But I know the truth about the world: Magic is real, monsters exist, and nothing is ever simple.

I got on the boat expecting to party. Not to get caught in a storm, nearly drown, and wake up stranded on an island that should exist. It’s made of magic, and home to monsters.

Monsters who want me.

This is impossible. I shouldn’t feel safe with men made of shadows and claws. Who have curling tentacles, stone fangs, and glowing eyes. They want to drown me, too—but only in pleasure. I’m addicted, in love, and out of control.

But the island’s magic is killing me, and I’m running out of time. Caught between magic and my mates, there’s only one way to survive. I shouldn’t want to be a monster…

Yet for the first time, I finally feel alive.

All the Devils Are Here is a steamy, medium-burn standalone monster reverse harem with claws, fangs, magic, and four possessive monsters determined to make the heroine theirs. Content warnings are available on the author's website.

Look, I love smut in books. I'm slowly getting to the point where I sometimes miss it when it's not there and should have been there. But too much smut isn't my thing. I need plot. I need personal growth. I need drama. I need the characters working towards something. I was therefore not entirely sure if I was gonna like this book and doubted if I'd accept the arc I was offered or not. But I did end up loving Christine's story. So I was curious about Meg's too.

This story is loosely based on a tale I don't really know. So I read this story as an original story with original characters. I have to admit that the plot in this book is quite thin. Don't get me wrong, the characters have a goal and there are certain things they're trying and doing to reach that goal, but those things are never really front and center. Because Meg met her mates and they actually want and need only one thing.

Although reading mostly smut is not my favorite sort of reading I do love how this author writes her smut. And that's mostly because the smut feels emotional and meaningful. You know that this is more than just characters being intimate. This is characters being in love and expressing that love by worshipping each other's bodies. And since all those men are monsters their bodies are quite interesting to explore, both for Meg and the reader.

I also love that there is some room for the men to tell their stories. Since they haven't spent much time away from the Island, if they've been spending time away from it at all, it aren't long and complicated stories, but it's clear life had a huge impact on them, who they are and what they want to be. And not just on them. On Meg too. In small ways we see how hard the world of ballet can be and what it does to your self esteem.

So, loads of smut, loads of emotions, a little bit of plot to keep it all together and quite some feels!

Hot.
This was hot.
I did not know going into this that it was Meghan’s story. You know. Christine’s friend from the ‘Phantom of the Opera’, but ✨Gargoyles✨, retelling?
And I wasn’t all that interested in her in that, but I did really enjoy this.
A good 90% of it takes place on a magical island that’s trying to kill her. So that was fun.
And there were tentacles, and claws, and a magical air man, and a knot…so…those were entertaining in the best of ways.

I had a good time.
The plot was magical and dangerous and I really liked how it all ended.
The relationships were fun and there was that fated mate thing that I’m a huge fan of.
The sex was unique and monstrous and so, so hot.

I just really enjoyed reading it.
I can’t wait to see what’s next from this author. She’s become a new favorite I look out for.

Go on a Party Boat they say. It will be fun they say. They li3d. Meghan is in Paris for a little R&R after losing her job. During her downtime she just want to have fun: sightseeing, a little clubbing and going on a Party Boat.

Meghan did not anticipate a freak storm that caused her to end up on a magical island, an island who's magic wants to k3ll her nor did she anticipate meeting her 4 monstrous mates.

This was a really fun read. Meghan was not a stranger to magic and monsters being that her BFF Christine is Mated to the Gargoyle Kings from the book Point of No Return.

In this story you couldn't help but cheer Meghan on as she fought to survive, fought for freedom and fought for love. You can't help but root for her monstrous mates who are prisoners on the island themselves but fought with everything in them to keep Meghan safe and trying to get her of the island before the island took her away from them forever.

All The Devils Are Here was an enjoyable read. A great mix of magic and adventure. Add in a little Angst, Action and some smoking Hott Monsters Smut and strap in for a wild and exhilarating ride.

All the Devils Are Here was devilishly good!

Meg finds herself on a boat for a party and decides to let loose a little because her life feels heavy. She has lost her job, the man she is hot for (Laurent) has rejected her again, and her best friend is living her best life mated to Gargoyles. Meg's life is about to go south way more when a mysterious storm occurs and sinks the boat she is on leaving her stranded on a magical island.

It's at this time Meg learns she is a small piece to a much bigger pie. Laurent's creator is after him and intends on using Meg to get what he wants. Ban, Ariel, and Trin who are all monsters trapped on the island find Meg and realize she is their mate and they'll do anything to save her.

“How can you describe this?” He asked, and his voice was entirely genuine. “It’s not possible. You’re made for me. Where I have hollow places, you fill them in. Where my edges are sharp, you soften them. And the same for me with you.”

With Meg being affected by the island's magic and the evil on it, the clock is racing against them. Lucky for them, Laurent shows up and also realizes what Meg is to him and they'll have to work together to get out alive.

"Dying was watching the person you loved walk out the door and knowing you were never going to see them again. Dying was carrying pain that felt like poison, knowing it was the only way. Dying was surviving."

I really enjoyed this. I'll be honest...this was probably 85% monster smut with some plot holes but...

description

I loved Meg and her quieter strength and sassiness. I loved each monster and their unique personalities and appendages. Overall, a solid monster romance.

It took me a hot second to get back into this world that the author Devyn Sinclair has made, but it didn't take long before I was sucked back in. In the first book we met Christine and her mates, along the way we also met her best friend Meghan. All the Devils Are Here revolves entirely around her. Things have changed in her life since the first book, but she's visiting Paris and staying with Laurent, a gargoyle who is a friend of Christine's mates.

Laurent is fighting his feelings for Meg, and Meg just wants him to let go. The tension is high between the two of them but things don't go well when Laurent's old 'master' sets his eyes on Meg. She's whisked away to a mysterious island with no way back to Laurent or her proper life but she definitely meets some interesting characters along the way.

We get to meet Ban, Ariel and Trin, all very different monsters, but also really intriguing. They all know Laurent and still serve his old 'master'. But I don't want to say too much about him because that's for the reader to discover as they read the story. I really enjoyed this one, I adore all the characters that the author creates and can't wait to see if she writes any more in this world. There was one character that stuck out to me, that Meg met along the way and I have no idea if the author will write a story for that character, but I'd be totally there for it if she did.

Monsters do exist…

Meg knows there are such things as monsters but when she’s taken to an island she learns more about them.
Because of Meg’s connection with Laurent, his creator lures her to his island. Hoping that Laurent would follow her back there.
Meg meets Ban, Trin and Ariel, who are her mates, they’ve been stuck on the island waiting.

This was a fast paced read with lots of monster steaminess. It has a few twists and turns.
There is a mad rush to save Meg from the island before the magic of it takes her. Finally finding their mate puts Ariel, Ban, Trin and Laurent in hyper mode to find a solution before it’s too late.

I could not put this book down. Meg is on a trip to rest and relax. Instead, she encounters a storm that lands her on a magical island that wants her dead. She meets her mates: Ban, Trin, and Ariel. They do everything in their power to protect her from the island. Meg and her mates have an adventurous journey to escape the island.

All the Devils are Here is definitely not a plot driven story but it is a fun and steamy read. Meghan is fired and goes on to have some R&R. Her story is pretty wild, but she meets her fated mates. There is four of them and they’re monsters. There’s action, adventure and danger but the story ended up being a fun read.

Devyn, you’ve killed it. An amazing follow up to our favorite gargoyles. Multiple POVs that was well done.

This story has such a well thought out and planned plot that ties up in such a perfect bow at the end. I am guilty of always trying to guess the ending and yelling at characters to do whatever I think will solve their issues, but Devyn plans for readers like me. She spots each possible solution, disproves it and then gives an ending you didn’t expect.

Great world building, amazing character development, a good FMC that was never so strong she was stupid and reckless while also not a naive idiot.

Holy hell! I loved this book so much. The plot was great and I loved how it pulled from different sources (Shakespeare, and Phantom of the Opera), but was made unique. It was also hot as sin which was a bonus. I couldn’t put it down and read it all in one go.

I’m off to read The Point of No Return to learn more about Christine and her mates. I’m sure I will enjoy it just as much.

So this isn't a review yet, because I'm not very far into the book at all. I just thought I would mention this, because it bothers the hell out of me.

Because I liked the blurb in the second book better and it said very clearly that the books are standalones, I decided to read this one first.

Huge mistake. The first couple chapters throw you for a loop because they keep referencing plot you don't know about and at the same time they still manage to absolutely heavily spoiler the first book.

Like it literally exposes the entire ending in three sentences.

So beware and start with the first book.

‐---------------

So here's the review. I've finished the book and am left asking myself whether or not I've actually read the same book as all the four and five-star reviewers did.
The only reason I actually finished reading this book is that you can skip like 65% of the book and miss absolutely nothing but medicore sex.
I would go as far as saying not only does this book not work for me, but I will probably not read another book by this author. The writing was confuse and badly done. There were instances the author herself seems to get confused: same character takes their clothes of twice and things like that. The editing is also mediocre at best with grammatical errors and double words galore.
All in all this book was simply incredibly boring.

Magic and Madness

Devyn is really getting into monster romance and I'm reaping the benefits. Her second monster romance, All the Devils Are Here (great title) centers on Meg, Christine's best friend from Devyn's first monster romance Point of No Return and it was marvelously monstrous.

Ever since the fire in Paris Meg hasn't been the same. She was once the fun party girl, the center of attention and now she's more cautious than she ever was before. Evaluating her life after being fired she realized that she's been going it alone in a world where people aren't really connected and only doing things for something in return. Basically, she's in a slight crisis but don't count her out, when she finally gets the monsters her heart has been yearning for, she's willing to fight for her happiness.

The guys bring Meg happiness, she's playful, accepting, and determined to keep them. In this book, the monsters are more monstrous. Ariel is a spirit who can become solid and has all kinds of tricks. He's unique, Devyn did a good job bringing his character to life. Caliban "Ban" is what I would classify as a werepanther, meaning even in his human form he has noticeable monstrous qualities but he is the sweetest ever and I wanna protect him with everything I have. Ban also has something in common with one of Christie's mates (😉), they both like to hunt. Trin is an octopus shifter with all kinds of tricks and he is very good with his tentacles. There is something soothing about him. Finally, there is Laurant, the gargoyle doctor from Point of No Return. He is the broody heartbreaker, always trying to do the right thing while totally missing the plot. These monsters have more humanity than most humans, Meg has a good group of guys who are totally devoted to her.

It seems Devyn took her inspiration from a couple of classics. I got hints of Shakespeare's The Tempest with a magician named Prospero, magic, a storm, and the mysterious Myranda. However, there's also a bit of The Island of Doctor Moreau mixed in there with crazy experiments, literal stolen hearts, questionable business dealings, and more. The story was set with a backdrop of a magical tropical island where magic is sentient and out to get you. So not only were things super steamy, because you know four mates, but the plot was uniquely interesting, in a good way.

All the Devils Are Here was fantastic, I loved that Meg got her happily ever after. It was also great seeing Christine and her mates again. Devyn ended the book with two great epilogues but I wouldn't mind a little novella with Meg and Christine and their guys. Devyn is on a roll with the monster romance, I hope more are coming, maybe even in the same world.

Why did you read this book?
I was in the mood for RH books and this one had good ratings.

What format did you read this book in?
Read it as an ebook on Kindle.

Is this an educational book or a book for entertainment?
I read this book for pure entertainment purposes.

What genres do you think this book belongs to?
Fantasy, Horror, Romance, Suspense, Thriller, Adult

What was your favorite part in the book?
The MC and Calibab mating scene. The Hunt was hot.

Who would you suggest this book to?
Anyone who like erotica with monsters, RH, and shifters.

What is your general opinion/ rating of this book?
WTH did I just read… and why did I like it? I seriously question my sanity sometimes when I read these monster romance books. This isn’t for the faint of heart. There is some serious violence and kinky monster sex. The storyline is shaky at best. The magic system and how it worked didn’t make much sense if you analyzed it. But then again how “realistic” are a bunch of shifters who had their hearts taken to be fed to an island’s mysterious magic? If you’re okay with shutting off your brain, like shifters, kinky tentacles, and reverse harems, this will be the book for you.

Are there any cliché scenes or concepts?
So many… Insta-love/lust. Fated mates. MC become immortal. MC is give goddess-like powers. Villain is over the top evil (and dumb).

How intense are the intimacy scenes?
Vividly intense with monster kink (special genitals). MF. MFM. Con-Non-con, BDSM, tentacles, etc.

At what “burn” level is the romance?
Super Spicy Hot.

Love interests, how many of them are there and what gender?
There are four love interests, all males, all shifters, and all have magic.
Laurent- gargoyle shifter. Doctor.
Ariel- spirit monster. Powerful magic user.
Calibab- panther shifter.
Trin- sea monster shifter. (tentacles)

All The Devils Are Here
By Devyn Sinclair

‘A pure, feral craving for her that went beyond all reason. She was mine. Mine to claim, mine to touch, mine to love. My mate.’

𝑅𝒜𝒯𝐼𝒩𝒢 : 4⭐️
𝒮𝒫𝐼𝒞𝐸 : 2.5 🌶

𝑅𝐸𝐿𝐸𝒜𝒮𝐸 𝒟𝒜𝒯𝐸 : 31st January 2023
𝒩𝒜𝑅𝑅𝒜𝒯𝐼𝒪𝒩 : First person
𝒫𝒪𝒱 : Multi-POV
𝒯𝑅𝒪𝒫𝐸𝒮 : Monsters, fated mates, self-sacrifice, damsel in distress, magic

- Monster romance
- Why choose
- Medium burn
- Happy ever after
- Fated mates
- Unique peens
- Tentacles and extra limbs
- Same world as The Point Of No Return
- Human FMC

Meghan is in Paris to meet her best friend Christine (FMC from The Point Of No Return). She believes her life has hit rock-bottom, she’s a shadow of her former self and has been rejected by the only person she has felt an attraction to for years not once but twice. In an attempt to pick herself up and re-engage with her former self, she heads out for a boat party.

Laurent wants Meghan even though she is not his mate he feels a deep attraction and connection to her. However Laurent does not have a life of pleasure, his is a life of sacrifice to protect the world for the evils of his past and to repent for his sins. But when Meg is lost at sea following an unusual storm he must save her.

This is a monster why-choose with an human FMC. Although this can be read as a standalone (this is how I read it) I would suggest reading The Point Of No Return to be able to understand the world and what has happened previously as this book references events from it.

Within this book we get a lot of character information and relationship building, probably more so than the overarching plot. I never fully saw where the story was going to take me and how the ending would play out so the twist at the end was good.

You get a lot of spice scenes, some as a group also others with added influences provided by the monsters unique abilities.

Okay, so here’s the thing. I cared about these characters a lot more than I did Christine, Erik, Marius, and Alexandre. Meg, Trin, Ban, Laurent, and Ariel were absolutely precious. (Especially Ban. . . He had my heart as soon as he purred!)

Those four men had so much depth and warmth to them, and Sinclair wrote them all so distinctly different, which was a very good decision on her part. I loved Trin’s tentacles, Ban’s purr and kneading, Laurent turning into stone, and Ariel shifting and conjuring up food whenever she wanted. They were all so different from each other and I adored each of them because of those differences.

The only thing I didn’t really like was the plot, which is funny because what I just said is the exact opposite of The Point of No Return. I enjoyed the plot of that one, but not the characters. In this one, I enjoyed the characters but not the plot.

I understand what Sinclair was doing, but her way of explaining the island and Prospero’s plan was very confusing. I didn’t understand what was happening 50% of the time, but I needed to have more of the characters, so I kept reading.

The book was okay. The characters were absolutely phenomenal, which is why the rating is 4 ⭐️’s.

I would read this book just for the characters.

Sinclair has also made me realize while reading her books that I am a freak. I’ve known that before, but TENTACLES! SUCTION CUPS! UNDERWATER! TAILS! TONGUES! PURRING! KNEADING!

I could go on and freaking on about all the freaky/kinky stuff in this book that made me giggle. I literally want to try half of the stuff Meg got to experience; except, you know, almost being eaten by sharks and turning purple. But I digress.

This book was interesting and I can’t wait for the next one! I wonder who it is going to be about!

Did you read Shakespeare as a teenager? I did, and while not every play stuck in my mind like glue, I remember enough from the Tempest to appreciate what Devyn was trying to create. It's not a one for one copy of the Tempest. The Devil's are here possesses its own story line and characters and spring out of her brain with the humanity and anguish I've come to expect. Devyn writes traumatized characters like no other. They are wounded but strong, and willing to do whatever necessary to overcome their faced evil. Meg is our human FMC who craves the Gargoyle who rejected her. Twice. Ouch. The cringe factor is strong, and 2nd hand embarrassment is a real thing. Fortunately, Meg's kidnapping and ultimate "gift" from Prospero gives her a double edged sword to slay both evil and conquer hearts. Nearly the entire story revolves around the island and it's inhabitants, but it's no ordinary island. It is sentient in a way that can be terrifyingly powerful and vindictive, and yet while it initially blames Meg, the themes of the Tempest sneak in, and acceptance, love, and forgiveness right the wrongs wrought on the island inhabitants. I deeply loved the hurt and realness of the (sort of) men that Meg attracts. Ariel, Ban, Trin, and Laurent are as different and unique as they come. They push the envelope of being different, yet are so human in their reactions and emotions, you'll follow right along and love them regardless of their monster tendencies. The story really is delicate with it's handling of the main themes, and you'll adore how you fall in love with Meg and her story, not be bashed over the head with the certainty her path is inevitable.

This is a slower burn romance brimming with danger, suspense, action, twists, magic, and delicious steam once the harem is established.
Meghan is a professional ballet dancer that has just been fired from her company that takes a trip to escape her reality. After a boat party gone wrong, Meg winds up taken captive to a magical island filled with monsters. She meets Ban, Trin, and Ariel as they worked as a team to lure her to the island on behalf of their master. The reader gets multi-POV’s and we know that these men are Meg’s fated mates. The monsters brother and Meg’s long-time crush, Laurent, finds his way on the island to rescue her. The four monsters must band together and protect Meg at all costs, even if it means sacrificing their lives.

My only critique is that the opening chapters of the book were confusing with little build up. I was a bit lost and it took several chapters before I began piecing the story together. Once the story made more sense to me, it was smooth sailing. Meg was such a wonderful heroine that was likable, confident, and strong despite being human in a world full of paranormal creatures. The steam was amazing (especially the ones with Trin) and I loved how devoted the monsters were. My favorite guy of the harem was Ariel 🥵!

Tropes: Paranormal romance, monsters, magic, fated mates, reverse harem, knotting, instalove, happily-ever-after
Heat: 5/5 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Absolutely Phenomenal Monster Romance ❤️❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Review

This is my first book I’ve read by Devyn Sinclair and man was it phenomenal and full of steamy goodness. I will definitely be reading more books by this author, past and future. She can write one heck of a monster insta love romance. It’s even a lil bit based on The Tempest. But a whole lot spicier.

This is Meghan story and it’s a pretty wild one. She’s just been fired so she decides to take a trip to visit friends in Paris, but what she doesn’t expect is to wake up stranded on an island after her boat gets caught in a storm. It’s not just any island either, it’s made of magic, full of monsters and honestly should not exist. Four of those monsters turn out to be her mates, and one of them being her long time crush who’s there to rescue her. But they’re all fighting to save each others life because the island is out to destroy them.

This book will have you captivated from beginning to end. It’s pumped full of action, adventure, danger, steam and emotional ups and downs. Each of these characters struggle with a deeply rooted loneliness but when their bonds take hold it’s absolutely perfect, and they get the HEA they all deserve together. The men/monsters are all OTT possessive and protective and our FMC is strong and determined. Am most definitely looking forward to this authors next book. Highly recommend this RH Monster Romance Standalone.

This story is a standalone, based off of another story. I personally have not read that story and never felt lost or anything.

Meghan knows the secret world of Monsters exist and does not shy away easily. Lately, with a crippling lonesomeness she fears she will never find true love like her friend and her mares. Wanting something so bad but never getting to experience it, sounds like the worst kind of torture ever. Trying to escapes her sorrow, she goes to a boat party that ultimately sets her up for demise.

When the boat is sinking, Meghan is 'saved' from someone only to wake up as a prisoner. When monsters with wings, tentacles and paws show themselves she feels things she definitely shouldn't. Now trapped on a remote island far away from everything she knows, she is forced to fight for her life. And when the man/monster she's been pining over for the last few years comes to her rescue, everything in her new realty clicks into place.

With 4 mates on this adventure, they are all in a fight to save each other. Will they succeed or will the magic eat away at what's left? Will they ever escape from this island?

This book is full of detail and smutty goodness. I always enjoy books from this author and continue to look forward to more.

*Overall 4/5
*Heat? 4/5
*MFMMM Romance (No MM)
*Multiple first person POV
*2 bonus epilogues
*Ends on HEA

If you loved Christine's gargoyle Phantom of the Opera based tale, then you're going to adore Meghan's story! This one gave me Island of Dr. Moreau vibes, not sure if that is what this book is based off of, but that's what it seemed like to me. Except with a paranormal twist. Meghan was such a sweet character in Christine's story and I'm so glad to see her get her own happy little monster ending as well. The beginning of the book starts with her being so lonely and heartbroken after getting fired and progresses into her finding mates she never knew she'd be capable of ever having. I really enjoyed the pace of the book and how we met each of the guys and got to experience their different brands of monster abilities. They were all so sweet to her and gave her exactly what she needed, even when she wouldn't admit some of her fantasies. Despite the terrifying end coming towards them, we got to see some really spicy and caring moments between the group.
I wasn't sure how the ending was going to pan out with Prospero, but I loved what Sinclair did with him and his thirst for power. It was a twist I didn't see coming and it ended the book wonderfully. The two epilogues were a great addition as well to fully get a glimpse into what happened after the Island fiasco.

Man, I just don't like Devyn Sinclair's endings, like The Point of No Return I just didn't like the ending. It was a bit rushed again and happened all too quickly. Which makes sense because this is the official (unofficial?) sequel to The Point of No Return.

This follows Meghan; Christine's best friend from her ballet days. All Meghan wants is a life like Christine's and has returned to Paris to hang out with her best friend after her life gets turned upside down. The plot takes place very quickly. Though a bit convoluted with a bunch of ifs/buts/and whats especially dealing with the magic of the island. It even seemed like didn't know what the fuck was going on and making shit up.

Meghan and her mates were adorable though, even though she was a bit of an idiot. And I didn't really like how her mate main should've been Laurent and he was basically pushed back to the back burner.

Hey cheers to my first book of 2024 🍾

Started this like two days ago, completely ran through it. Liked it a lot!

I started with book one which had a little more of a plot and I was excited to get to Meg’s story. I think this was fun, interesting in all the different supernaturals that are involved. It’s literally MMMMF with very unique abilities and shifters. Was it the most out of pocket thing i’ve ever read, kind of yeah. Did I try to map out the positions and how things would work technically? Yeah lmao

But, I started reading Monster romances in early 2023 and never looked back. For some reason they’re just so fun and unhinged.

Meg was a good character, I loved her in the beginning but she fell a teeny bit flat for me with not having much growth other than getting mates. I think out of all the men Laurent was definitely my favorite.

Honestly, if you want something a little wild, easy to read, very smutty and are in a “sex will fix this” mood have at this. I really liked it and will probably pick up more from this author when i’m in the mood for it!

This book is a standalone monster RH which is also a medium burn. This book is done in MPOV and starts of from another persons POV instead of the FMC which is different and actually done really well. After the first chapter I ended up realising this was a standalone linked to her other standalone point of no return. The FMC Meghan has just been fired from her job and decided to take a trip to Paris to visit friends and pretend all of her problems don’t exist and that she isn’t alone. Meghan already knew the truth about the world that magic and monsters was all real. She got onto the boat expecting to party but they got caught in a bad storm that she nearly drowned and ended up on an island that was full of monsters and magic. She feels safe with these monsters made of shadows and claws. These monsters want to drown her in pleasure. The magic in this island is killing her so she has to make a decision for the only way for her to survive is to become a monster herself. Dam I just loved this book from start to finish all the twist and turns it took to finally end up meg and her mates happy and madly in love. The steam in this book was hot as hell!!

As soon as I seen this was a monster romance I was already intrigued! Throw a vacation gone wrong, fated mates, and a whole lot of steam and I was hooked!

Meg is a recently fired ballet dancer who takes a trip to Paris to unwind and destress. What she didn’t anticipate was on the way there would be a disastrous storm that almost killed her and landed her on a mysterious and magical island. Lucky for her while on the island she meets her 4 handsome fated mates. Unlucky for her, the island is trying to take her out.

I really enjoyed this read! The monsters in the story were devoted to Meg in every way and despite being lonely and not wanting to lose her they would do anything to protect her and help get her off the island! Meg is a fighter and would do anything to stay alive and keep her monsters!

If you like paranormal monster romances with fates mates then I highly recommend giving this a read! The spice was perfect for the storyline and I found myself wanting more from the story even with having an HEA!

The entire plot had a huge hole that the author tried to Jedi mind trick everyone about.

The big bad has the FMC. One of her men says I’m going to kill you and the big bad is like no you can’t because I gave the FMC my magic. The magic was freely given. The author doesn’t give a reason why her having his magic makes it so the guy can’t kill the big bad. I swear the author was like oh shit the guy could just pick up a gun and kill the big bad…dammit I’m part way through this book and don’t want to revise. I’ll just put in a ridiculous reason and hope no one notices and then move on. Nothing to see here folks.

It become even more ridiculous when you find out the guy could have come over to the island and killed the big bad anytime in the last 800 years or so.

Another problem is the guy has been away from his “brothers” for 800 years but they are still tight and close. They haven’t talked, visited etc in 800 years. In fact the others have been mostly trapped on the island for 800 years but everyone can easily connect, relate with each other. I can barely remember my kids birthdays and I live with them. I would not remember anyone after 800 years.

A few years after the fire in the Paris opera, Christine has found her dream life with her gargoyle mates - but Meg not so much. And now that she lost her job in the ballet, there is little joy left for her. Coming back to Paris and experiencing the bitter rejection from Laurent for the second time isn't helping either. But one disastrous unnatural event changes her life for good - being kidnapped, directly affected by magic, and meeting monsters that seem to have deep feelings for her, that's not something easy to forget. What one does not have to forget though is the ominous truth - Prospero is alive, and out for revenge.
Emotional and dramatic rollercoaster of a story, this RH PNR has everything a good paranormal romance needs to have. Fated mates, monsters, magic, rejected mate trope, steam, and lots of emotional turmoil. Meg is thrown into series of events she can't control or influence, and is only up to her how she will find the strength to fight and cope with all the threats.
