"Hannah" and her grandparents, who run a shop in NYC and greet her with matzo-ball soup, seem to be written as a Jewish family. It's sad that the publisher decided to go a different direction with the illustrations.

This was...OK. It wasn't great, but it wasn't awful. I liked seeing how much the family loved each other. And I liked that the historical aspects were found in the pictures but not pushed in the story. The illustrations are bright and nice and simple.

This story is a bit intense for kids. The story is a little lame.
