Wow this was deep! I loved young Liam and Laura! It was refreshing to read about their young blooming love! Liam was a BOSS. It’s no wonder he raised two boss *ss men! I knew we would get the answers that we needed and I’m sorry I ever doubted you big homie! I knew the man that raised my beloved Luca wasn’t on no bs! I was wondering how this bomb was going to unfold and Grey told this story like only she could! I can’t wait to dive into the Domino Effect!
Sindenote: Baby Luca was everything🥰! And the way he stood by Liam’s side…..I expect nothing less 🥰
First of all, why y’all didn’t tell me Laura was a whole freak in these Channing City streets?!!! I was not expecting that kind of behavior from the owner and operator of Eisenberg Smiles Daycare. This is by no means any judgement against Laura. I just didn’t know she had that in her. But, I digress. When giving your husband a threesome for his birthday goes way TF wrong. We finally get the answers to the bomb that was dropped at the end of Laike and, chiiiiiiiile, it was a doozy. The consequences of their actions came back to bite Liam and Laura right in their azzes 34 years later but, I absolutely loved how they handled the situation. Laike and Lyric, not so much. They really showed their azzes but, baby, Laura got them all the way together. Sis said, what y’all won’t do is break my husband’s heart. When she called Lyric a ditzy broad, I almost fell out of my bed. Laura did NOT play about Liam one single bit. This book was a great trip down memory lane into Liam and Laura’s past. I really enjoyed getting more of a glimpse into their marriage and the love they have for one another. I thought I was going to circle back to Ledge and Lawe’s books and read them later but, that damn Grey has my curiosity peaked somethin’ fierce. Lemme jus gon’ and move them to the top of my August TBR.
I know the new year just started, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say this is my favorite book of 2023. Listen Mrs. Laura surprised the hell out of me. I was truly hoping that from the ending of Laike's book Liam didn't let us down...But, I was truly unsure....I absolutely would have never imaged the out come and reasoning behind the Eisenberg's new family dynamic. I have to say that I truly respect Mrs. Laura! Who knew she was a party girl (not my thing) WOW...But, most of all I love how she takes care of her man...It is Liam above all!
Yea I completely understand now and I should’ve never doubt Liam. What an interesting twist. Also, Lawe is going to be worst than Laike 😩 uhoh! Let’s all prepare for The Domino Effect!
Um, excuse…who in the heck is Laura. If "I'll stick beside him" was a person. For Laura, it was husband first and above every one else and rightfully so. But it definitely did not mean she loved her kids anyless. Laike maybe a family man, but it's clear that he still has a lot of growing up to do, out here drinking and driving. Every time I get a piece of Luca, I just end up falling for him even more. It's evident that Lawe and Laike are related. I can already see the toxicity…and I'm here for it.
Finished Liam, it was a nice short read. I got the answers I needed. Laike is a fool in every book he in. Lyric is extra as usual. Laura is a MF goat. Imma always stand by Luca. And I still fuq with Liam 😍 It gave everything it was supposed to give 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Oh Papa Liam I didn't expect anything less from you. My heart broke for him. Mama Laura, girrrl you took me all the way by surprise. The Eisenberg's are everything, I love the way Liam and Laura set the stage for what real supportive love looks like for their children. Lawd this ain't gone hold me over though, I need the full book.
I knew Liam was innocent . I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the twins. Whew I already know Lawe is gonna be another headache like Laike. But I’m ready for Ledge and Lawe let’s see who’s gonna be my new book bae.
Big Liam not the lil one baby!!!!! This was quick and so good. I can’t believe I doubted Liam 😭 Laura was a whole freak back in the day but I’m not mad with you auntie. 🤭
I can’t wait to see what these twins up to in the Domino Effect. I can’t get enough of these folks.!!
Liam and Laura's story might be the best way to explain standing by your man and genuinely understanding your man. In this edition, Laura's strong will and faith made me step outside my normalized patterns to see her perspective better. Liam loved Laura enough to yield to her wishes reluctantly. I suspected this act would resurface. Once again, this author gave me something to think about. Wow!
INTERESTING!!!! I was so hesitant to read Liam's story because I didn't want my heart to be broken. There was absolutely no way he could have done that to Laura...and never did I imagine how he did it. Awesome back story to provide full disclosure for the domino effect. Liam and Laura are goals!!!!
Just wow! I NEVER saw that coming! It was hard to fathom that Liam could be "that" man, and I'm glad that was not the case! The way he adored Laura, and loved his family, nah! Uhhhh Laura ma'am, what the hell? You couldn't role play or nothing, you had to go all out huh? Chile you better than me! Now you have these bratty grown children irate with you husband, who is protecting you! Ain't this some ish! Whew! However, she didn't allow Laike and Lyric to tarnish Liam, and got them together right quick! But what happens now? Guess I have to jump into the Domino Effect to find out! Lawd, I swear Grey you be pulling us down in that rabbit hole, and I don't know when I'm going to reappear! 😂 On to Ledge next! 👍👍👍
This was a short & sweet novella and the answer to the cliffhanger from book 3. Of all the scenarios that were playing through my mind, this outcome definitely was not one of them. Mind blown 🤯. Liam was a true boss with lots of BDE and now we know where Luca and Laike got it from. Laura definitely carried big energy as well and this story showed how much the two were made for each other.
What I enjoyed the most about this story is that Liam and Laura where so open and accepting of their consequences from the beginning. Although Liam was willing too take the blame to protect his wife, I'm glad that Laura stepped up and didn't allow the blame to fall solely on his shoulders. Laura was a woman on fire when letting Lyric and Laike know what type of time she was on.
Again, I thoroughly enjoyed this story and can't wait for The Domino Effect Series. I know it will be just as great as the Eisenberg Effect Series.
Liam was just a five chapter book but punched a huge punch in those few chapters. The one that really hit in this book is the mom Laura; in the third book she had an illness and all so I thought and felt so sad for her in that book but in this 4th book she put the hello and what's up on her two kids. LOL. And she finished off the spicy ness in this series with a bang.....🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Whoa! I did not expect that! Mrs. Laura!... This is a cautionary tale if I have ever heard one. LOL. Guess I have to read The Domino Effect series now. Happy reading!
Liam....Daddy Eisenberg's book didn't disappoint! I don't know if this is a spoiler or not but I had full faith in Daddy Eisenberg and the book didn't disappoint!!!
All I can say is Wow! What an adventure. Reading from Liam's perspective took a spin on the story. But knowing his love for Laura, he took the heartbreak of not hearing from his two children for two weeks. Then Laura got them back onboard. I look forward to reading about how this all turns out. I expect it to be very interesting and intriguing at the same time!
🚨SPOILER ALERT‼️🚨 If you haven’t read the first three books… Back away 🤚🏾🔙
I’m so disappointed… I was disappointed in Lyric and Keanu for their behavior. I mean, just silly and childish for carrying on with their secret affair unnecessarily. They acted like teens instead of the grown 🍑 adults they were! I was disappointed in Laike and Baisleigh for wasting so much time, and for making the decisions that they made… But I thought 🤔 “just like people, not all characters are going to be likable.” …People do dumb and silly 💩
But this here, this takes the cake. It would have made more sense for him to have had children before getting with Laura and the mama not wanting to be involved in his life because of his lifestyle. That would’ve been a plausible reason for keeping them away from their father. This foolishness, I just can’t get down with…Especially when you’re trying to uplift Black people and showcase Black Love.
The characterizations are just not matching the characters.
I enjoyed Ever and Luca’s story, but thought this was her first novel, and she would only improve over time. But it seems to get worse. Storylines are choppy and the flow doesn’t always make sense because 💩 seems to happen for the sake of shock value but not to add depth to the storyline.
I’m invested so I’ll keep on reading but the one thing I will say about each story is that, the selfishness and lack of insight into self appears to be a dominant characteristic trait for the Eisenbergs. While family may share characteristic traits, they don’t all have to share the exact same flaws. It’s pervasive and does not provide individuality to each character or each story. 😒
For what's it's worth, I enjoyed this preview of what's to come. I wish we could have gotten a little more, but I'm sure the full story will follow in the coming series. Luca made me cry. Laike and Lyric made me want to pop them. And Ledge...well it was nice to meet his pretty chocolate self, even if I feel like I didn't really get to meet him yet. In due time.
It is no shock of how they got them freaky ass kids because the apples didn’t fall too far from the tree but boss lady Laura don’t play about her husband and anyone can catch it kids included. I will never get tired of the Eisenberg’s but I’m definitely ready for the Domino’s.
Mrs. Laaaaura!!!!!..I was not expecting that!!! Not you being an F..I..T..S and standing 8 and 2 big toes buried in the sand about your man...I love it...cant wait to read The Domino Effect
First, I owe Daddy Eisenberg an apology. My bad sir....YOU ARE A GOOD MAN!! Grey doesn't miss, and this added so much context to the Eisenberg Effect series and is the perfect intro for The Domino Effect. Hearing from Liam and seeing how much of a family man he was made me appreciate him so much more. I WAS NOT expecting things to be going down like that. The way Laura rode for her man and gathered them children was EVERYTHING. She said ya'll not about to hurt my man like this, NOT ON MY WATCH! Now i just have to wait for 2/28!
I didn't really care the plot. Despite all their great attributes, this just made Laura, Liam and Joslyn look selfish and crazy as HELL. First of all, yall doing all that without using protection??? Secondly, Joslyn, why would she not only keep the baby, but decide that she should shoulder all that responsibility alone because the Eisenbergs were this amazing example of black love. Her sons didn't deserve to experience that same black love Despite their conception? That was selfish of her to make that choice alone. And Laike and Lyric did deserve the time to accept the whole ordeal,it had only been a week lol. I would have much rather this just have been a result of a fling before Liam got with Laura, cause again Laura, what was the reason??? Anywho, I really loved the Eisenberg series and look forward to Ledge's story.
