Still Listening: New Horizons in Spiritual Direction
Interest in the practice of spiritual direction has grown in recent years. With the increased number of people seeking direction have come a number of new issues confronting spiritual directors.
This volume of essays by seasoned spiritual directors from a variety of faith traditions addresses issues of concern to directors today such as direction abused persons, the poor, church drop-outs, and gays and lesbians. School book. Essays on various topics, some dated language and gender roles

This was a fantastic little book about how pastors/spiritual directors relate with congregants and others and how to deal with crisis and other issues relating to pastoral care (which is different from psychology/psychiatry).
It has some great chapters on how to deal with folks who want discernment and advice in the corporate world, how to deal with working class and poverty issues, how to deal and change Church thinking on sexuality, and other great chapters done by different contributors whom all have experience in their respective fields.
Very practical and insightful.
