Stephen W. Hines is an American author and editor known for uncovering overlooked literary material and transforming it into successful publications. Over more than two decades, he has produced seventeen books with over 600,000 copies in print, including bestsellers such as Little House in the Ozarks, I Remember Laura, and The Quiet Little Woman. His research-driven work often focuses on figures like Laura Ingalls Wilder and Louisa May Alcott, bringing previously unpublished writings to modern audiences. Hines began his career at Ball State University, later working as a copy editor, managing editor at Thomas Nelson, and editor for several publishing houses before writing independently. He has also contributed poetry and journalism to regional publications and served as founding Director of Communications for the Tennessee Department of Children's Services. Based near Nashville, he continues to write, edit, and develop new literary projects.
