Really Blake is floundering through a life that doesn't make her happy. She realizes the humor in the poor little rich girl scenario, but it doesn't make it any less true. She's married to the man her father picked and having mindless affairs to punish them all. Really thinks Johnny Rose will be one more affair in that vein. Big, brawny, shaved bald and bad-ass, he's just what she's craving. Until he puts her in her place--right off the bat. Then Really's intrigued. But once he gets her in his bed...then Really's hooked. What follows is a road trip, east coast to west, and an amazing amount of self discovery, sexual and otherwise, along the way.

Okay, It's been a while since I read a book. I stumbled upon this one and decided to give it a go. I don't like to write unfavorable reviews, but if an author is going to put their work out there to be judged, good or bad then I should be able to give my opinion since I purchased the book. ($4.99) I only made it about 7 or 8 chapters. This book really needs editing! Aside from all the typeos, here is an example of what I found while reading.
I wasn’t surprised to feel my body respond to that rich intimate sound the way it would an actual touch. My stomach rippled with nerves and my skin erupted in goose bumps. I shifted on my feet, feeling the moisture between my legs. No panties to act as a barrier, my jeans would get the brunt of this sudden rush of arousal.
Then the morning after .........
There was his flannel hanging on the closet door knob. I pulled it on and buttoned it so that it didn’t gape. My panties were somewhere on the floor and after finding them I pulled them on, too.
Well after that I was done! I'm not really one to judge based on typeos, but forgetting about the panties?? I can't deal with inconsistencies.
I enjoyed reading this although it had a lot of spelling mistakes and most I think we're probably auto-correct going wrong. The story itself was interesting. There were a couple of parts I really didn't like Johnny. Really (the girl) was needy and clingy with him and he used that to make her do things she didn't want to or he was sending her home. If that had been me I would've called his bluff. A sequel to this would've been good. It's all just about them when on the journey but once real life comes back into play, I'd love to see how things go for them.
I am a huge fan of Sommer Marsden and this has been on my to read list for a long time. Stumbled across it and once I started I could not put it down. Fell in love with the story of Johnny and Really. The two of them discovering themselves and each other while on a road trip was sweet, funny, frustrating, heartbreaking and heart warming, plus some incredibly hot sex that only Sommer can write. Just fell in love with these characters and their story. Loved, loved, freaking loved.
