Am I as terrible as my inner demons tell me, for loving my sister’s best friend?

Shay Sterling. Smart, witty, stunning. The girl of my dreams. But my sister, Chelsea, has forbidden anything between us. Even looking has me feeling like a bad brother, a bad person.

But that doesn’t stop me from pining after Shay and secretly flirting any chance I get. Though risky, I decide to make a move.

When we finally kiss, I learn that these feelings are not one-sided. We start our relationship away from prying eyes. Away from my sister. Despite the secrecy, we flourish together.

Maybe it’s time I start breaking some of the limits put on me. After all, if anyone is worth the risk, it’s Shay. Besides, how much harm can one girl do?

Now you know the story, or perhaps you already did. Either way, I’m Lochlyn and here’s the story through my eyes.Breaking Limits is an adult romance novel, intended for audiences 18 and older. We come into book 4 of the Limits series knowing everything that happened between Shay and Lochlyn already but up until this book it has been strictly from Shay's point of view. Here, we travel back to the very first book, and it moves through all the pivotal moments of their relationship but this time we get to read about it from Lochlyn's perspective and I completely devoured it, finishing it in one sitting. We know how much Loch loves Shay, he's proven it over and over again throughout the series but there is something extra special about being able to relive those moments from his perspective. We get to see how he felt at the moment, understand his reasoning and truly see how much he loves Shay. It made me fall deeper in love with him, them, their relationship, everything. Their love is beautiful and reading about all their special moments, hardships and HEA again had me all gooey inside. I'm going to miss them so much as this book closes the series. Shayna never disappoints!

This is book 4 of Shay and Loch’s story. When I first found out this was Lochlyn’s point of view, I was just over the moon. The books 1-3 was always written in Shay’s point of view. I was always in awww of Lochlyn from the beginning. He had me since he told Shay every night “ Dream Of Me” oh my heart!!!!! This is a book that I never knew I needed! It goes through his point of view through the series. To get to relive it through him was EVERYTHING! Shayna just blows my mind and amazes me on how she beautifully written this one! I fall more in love with her writing in every book she writes. I have to say the ending was PURE PERFECTION!!!! 24 years later and I still want to know more about their journey. That’s how much these characters are embedded in me. My fingers are crossed maybe a series about the kids and we still get them both in their books PRETTY PLEASE!!!! Seriously LOCHLYN is everything and more. My heart feels so full after reading this book.

The final book 😭 I have loved these characters since book 1. I can't believe their final book is LIVE today!
Thank you @shayna.astor.author for writing about the amazing characters and their stories! And thank you for letting me be an ARC reader for all 4 books.

Now about Breaking Limits!
This final book is written from Lochlyns point of view! It was so great being able to read about what was going on in his head throughout the previous 3 books. Lochlyn is such a loving friend/boyfriend/husband/brother/father. He's the bigger person and just takes care of everyone around him no matter what. And of course him and Shay are just the cutest perfect couple, but not without their own struggles. It wasn't an easy start but this book really shows us how determined Lochlyn was to make it all work!

Go now and read this entire series if you haven't already. You won't regret it. Lochlyn, Shay, Wes and Chelsea will steal your nights and your heart.

The perfect ending to an amazing series. I think we all needed to see Loch's point of view and this didn't disappoint. Being able to read from his mind how he loves and cares for Shay was just what was needed to tie this series up. It was also great to see what was going through his mind when he had his less-than-perfect moments as we saw in No Limits. Does it negate what he did? Nah, not really, but it does help one to understand and see that he is only human and makes mistakes. No one can be WHOLLY perfect, can they?

Lach’s Side of the Story

Yes, it can be read as a standalone, however I would highly recommend you read the other books first to get a better overall picture. I’m so happy to finally understand what was going on his head when he finally made a play for Shay as well as other major plot points that I don’t want to give away. The books covers years not just a few months, so you get the whole story from Loch’s viewpoint.

It was the perfect ending to their story and that epilogue got me for sure. It’s hard to leave characters from a series, but their ending was perfect! Plenty of spice and a swoony MC.

As usual Shayna has outdone herself. It only took me 2 quick days to finish reading this novel. I love the way she writes, it just grabs your attention. This was a POV from Lochlyn. As I was reading this POV you could really tell how much Lochlyn loves Shay. You really could imagine how everything was playing out as you read. It really amazed me how Shayna fit Lochlyn POV into just one book. I loved the ending as it brought the whole series to a perfect end!

Thank you Shayna for the wonderful books you write.

This final installment in the Limits Series brings us back to the beginning of Shay and Lochlyn's relationship, but from Lochlyn's point of view. This was such a unique way to tell this love story that we have all fallen in love with through this 4-book series! If you loved the story of Shay and Lochlyn right from the start, then you will love reliving it through Lochlyn's eyes. The culmination of events comes full circle and really shows us why he was one of our favorite book boyfriends right from the start!

This book, OMG, what a read. It will grab you from the very beginning and not let you go until the last page is read. It moves along at a pace that makes for an easy and enjoyable read, one that you cannot put down, no matter what you need to do. The characters are so read, that you feel like you know them and you cannot help but love them. This book needs to be read and at the top of your TBR list, no doubt about it.

Here we have book 4 in the Limit series and we finally have Loch’s point of view.
Lochlyn and Shay’s story is one of the most real and raw tales I’ve read in a long time and I didn’t know how much I needed this until I’d finished it.
This book added another depth and layer to an already great story and really shows us his love for Shay.
It was the perfect way to complete the series.

Lochlan’s side - perfection

Reading Shay & Loch’s story I always wanted to know why or what Loch was thinking or feeling and Breaking Limits absolutely gave me the moments I had the most questions about and in such a perfect way! Lochlan and Shay are absolutely perfect together and their love is the epitome of happily ever after. This tied the series together in the best way!

A perfect ending to a perfectly imperfect relationship. Loch and shay were the epitome of a love story flaws and all. Their love survived so many mountains but what was left was a love beyond the stars. This series is burned into my heart forever. Anything this author writes is gold and one of my all time favorite writer.

Lochlyn's POV on the entire series is eye opening (especially as it relates to book 3). It shows his self-awareness and undeniable and never-ending love for Shay. While I normally see the male POV mixed in throughout the book as opposed to its own separate volume I did enjoy finally getting to see inside his head and heart. This was the perfect ending to a great contemporary romance series.

Another banger from Shayna! This is following Shay and Lochlyn from the first book in the series, but from Lochlyn's POV. Phenomenal read!! I would definitely start with the first book even though this can be read as a stand alone.

This was a good addition to the Shay and Lochlyns story. Getting to see his POV over the course of the books.

I felt a little better about Lochlyn after this book.

Oh god the first few pages in and I had tears in my eyes. I can honestly say i thought I was only going to get Loch’s thoughts based off of book one. BUT his thoughts on throughout all the books I loved it. Seeing the pieces we couldn’t before and knowing what we already know. But omg that epilogue was just bitter sweet. I don’t think I will ever want to see these two go but I enjoyed every second of it. And insight to the future past what we haven’t seen was like the cherry on top. This book brought everything together, like the missing piece of the puzzle.

Breaking Limits is told in Lochlyn's POV, revisiting all of the moments he shares with Shay through the 4 book Limit series. I enjoyed this novel the most out of all of them. I'm not sure if it's because I already know what happens in the whole story, but seeing the undeniable love he has for Shay is just amazing. This book was the perfect ending to this story, closing all of the gaps of when it all began and why certain events took place.
