As a fan of the show I really enjoyed Ghost Whisperer: The Haunted, which is five comic (graphic art) installments tied together by a single story-line centering on the Egyptian God, Osiris — or is it Osiris?

This one is definitely for fans of the show, so if you lived in a cave during the during this show’s wonderful 5-year run from 2005–2010, you might want to watch a few episodes or at least read up on the characters, since it simply jumps in with both feet, assuming you already know the basic cast and premise. If you are familiar with the show, and miss pretty Jennifer Love Hewitt’s portrayal of Melinda Gordon, miss the often tender story-lines of those not yet crossed over, and miss the decent and uplifting story-lines of hope, as Melinda tries to turn the troubled toward the light, and the hereafter, then you’ll love the gathering of these five comics into a single volume.

I enjoyed the artwork, and I also enjoyed the story-line. No, it wasn’t incredibly deep, but it’s a comic, after all, just a nice supplement for fans to the wonderful show. The story arc is basic, but in line with the show’s atmosphere and themes, and the artwork and captions made it easy to follow. As with nearly every comic based on a television series, the characters don’t always look “exactly” like they do on television, but I discovered that the artist captured Melinda and the other characters close enough on several occasions to give me the sense that it was them, and I was reading a series of brief episodes that was one story arc.

Perhaps your enjoyment of this will depend on how much you loved the show, how much you miss it, and what your expectations are. I loved the show, really miss it. Having read comics based on other shows over the years, I just settled in for the fun and nostalgia, not expecting much more than that, and was amply rewarded. Just coming across something nice and hopeful in this day and age makes it heartily recommended for fans.

First of all, I've never seen a single episode of the tv show. Ever. I am NOT a fan of Jennifer Love Hewitt.
I grabbed a couple of these graphics for someone else and due to the fact that I like graphics, I thought that I might give it a shot.

Having no knowledge of the TV series hindered me as I didn't know who anyone was in the story. They hardly use names but they feel like supporting cast members. The boyfriend or is it husband? The professor, the woman in the antique (??) shop? The overall story was choppy, so many spirits to cross over, only tied together by the Osiris plot point. It read like a high school drama production and pretty much looked like one too.
Not a fan of the half ass art, all dark shading and blobby backgrounds. I'm assuming none of the characters looked like their tv counterparts since Melinda didn't favor JLH. That didn't bother me here but as a fan of other shows that have gone graphic, I know how annoying it was for the drawings to not match the live action actors. But this might have been the best JLH has ever looked and yay for the artists to include the necessary JLH boob scenes to really make the tv show fans feel at home. *Face Palm*
Maybe the next one will grow on me but I'm definitely not about to check out the show if this is how it plays out.

This book was so much fun. I really missed being in this Ghost Whisperer world. I especially loved that it takes place while Payne was in the story. He is one of my favorite characters. The art is also great.

Okay, so I’m not truly interested in graphic novels and I’ll admit, though I had watched Ghost Whisperer on TV at the beginning, I wasn’t a big fan of that series. So, what convinced me to even pick up this graphic novel? Well, actually it was its link to Egyptian Mythology. And I have to say, Ghost Whisperer: The Haunted took me by surprise.

The book had a great plotline and I loved the four individual cases as well as the continuous mystery of the character Osiris. The only thing that troubled me was that story line seemed a bit broken up at times. I would be reading one thing and then I was abruptly thrown into another scene or topic. Not being one who usually reads these kinds of books, I’m not sure if this is normal. However, I think there could have been a better connection between events.

Honestly, I wish this book would come out as an actual novel or novelette. I would love to read it all over again. Anyway, if you just feel like a real easy-going read or if you’re a fan of Ghost Whisperer, I would recommend picking a copy up of this graphic novel.

I love the Ghost Whisperer tv show and one of my best friends bought this book and lent it to me and I really want to thank her for that, I loved it! This comic version of GW is really good, the story is interesting and it kept my eyes glued on the pages until I finished it (which sucked 'cause I wanted to read more). This little comic book is great for every GW fan who wants to have more Melinda and her ghosts in her/his life!

It was pretty good for magna, graphic novel, comic book, or whatever they call it these days. I think if I had opened it and know it was a comic book I wouldn't have brought it. That aside, I thought it was true to the tv show are had a really good story. I just wish it had been a book!

The story was okay, if a little abrupt. If you've seen the show it was very easy to picture it as an episode. The biggest issue I had with the book was that the art, the resemblance to the actors was very poor. Word of warning page 95 says "Our Melinda did this?" when it should say Georgia.

I've never seen the show, but now I kind of want to, except it might be too scary/gory for me right now.

This book was so much fun, and it was every bit as good as the television show.
