My name is Natalie Archer, and I confess to loving nothing more than scheduling my life. And by scheduling, I mean every aspect. So why not schedule my wedding? Do I have a groom? No. Am I dating anyone? Also no. But I have a plan. A good plan, even, to find a Mr. Right who fits all my criteria. The biggest one being he MUST not be famous. Been there, and never doing that again.
I’m just about ready to put my plan into action when my famous ex reenters the picture. Josh Keller, the hottest stand-up comedian around, otherwise known as the thorn in my side and the love of my life. With him comes a major embarrassing moment, caught on video no less. It only proves exactly how incompatible we truly are and that I made the right choice leaving him three years ago. Unfortunately, Josh doesn’t think so, and he’s doing everything in his power to prove that you can’t schedule love. Well, I’ll show him. Maybe. Possibly. Why does the dang man have to be so annoyingly charming? And how can we make it work when his famous life is way out of my comfort zone? Is there any way for us to save the date?

I’m sure I could go on and on and on but my best advice is to just go read it!
This book had all the feels! I was so emotionally connected to Nat and Josh. I love them both so much. Such great characters that will have you feeling all the feels as well. I kid you not, I was busting a gut laughing throughout the book. Like deep belly laughs that, when I would read a line or parts of a scene, would just come bursting out! Probably a good thing I wasn’t around anyone, otherwise they would have been like, “what in the world is going on with you?!” Me: Nothing, Absolutely Nothing! Just enjoying the latest Jennifer Peel novel and loving every minute of it!!!
Jennifer Peel has such a way with writing characters. They are so real and raw and I love that so much! I couldn’t help but feel so much for the heartache and pain of some of these characters (no spoilers). And I couldn’t help but cheer and feel like my baby bird had discovered its wings and flown away from the nest ready to take on their world at certain points! I laughed, I cried (mostly from the laughter, but I’ll admit that some was from the pain), I swooned and sighed (Majorly)!!!
Excuse me while I go and read this one again!!! *grabs comfy blanket, drink and snuggles up with the book grinning*
Content: Possible spoilers are at the end of the content section within the **, if you don’t want to know don’t read that section. It is more a trigger warning for individuals than anything! Overall there are a few mild swear words scattered throughout. Some innuendos that alluded to intimacy but only talked about being held by each other. No sex scenes. Kissing and a few making out scenes but nothing further. **********possible spoilers, read at your own risk******** Nat’s parents were not kind to her. They weren’t physically abusive but neglectful and emotionally/mentally/verbally abusive. We don’t see a lot of that, more in just a few memories and thoughts she has. This of course impacts her and her life and decisions and belief in herself.
I received a copy from the author but have also purchased one of my own. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.
I love a good schedule, as there's something so rewarding about order and checking things off a list, but Natalie almost takes things a little too far. When the new year arrives and she scans through her planner, she's surprised to see "wedding" on a date later in the year and has no idea whose wedding it might be--until it hits her. It's hers. And she doesn't have a groom.
Nat's chaotic and loveless upbringing result in her overcompensation of scheduling her life, but she is so easy to relate to on so many levels. I adored her quirkiness, even though some things would drive me crazy. A "reunion" with her old flame, Josh, proves that ying and yang are essential to both of their lives. I couldn't love Josh's tumultuous self more--he's the man dreams are made of.
In typical Peel fashion, the ebb and flow of the plot and characters was delightfully sweet, SWOONY, and satisfying. Put this one on your schedule and get ready to savor every delicious minute.
Content: moderate romance (swoony kissing, innuendo); mild language
Wa-hoo! Author Jennifer Peel has a new release! Surprise!
Confession. I've read it twice. The first time I blew through it so fast because I was immersed in the story and the emotion of it, desperate for happily ever after ending I was looking for. The second time I was determined to go slower and savor everything. Easy enough because I already knew what would happen, right? Nope. I still read it like it was the first time, all aboard and full steam ahead. It was just that good.
Emotions and feelings are something I always want to be caught up in. I want to feel those characters and have a good sense of who they are and why. Introvert Natalie takes quite a journey of self discovery and self love. It felt so, so satisfying as a reader. I felt like her cheerleader. Extrovert Josh turns up after a few years, determined and present. Like, literally. He wouldn't leave Natalie's house. Haha. I love a determined guy.
Full of fantastic characters, amusing situations, emotionally charged moments and some fire kissing, this story is true blue Jennifer Peel. If you've read her books before, you will know what I mean. If you haven't ever read one of her books, this would be a great place to start.
Dnf at 16%. The main character was giving me not like other girl vibes. Also this felt like a Wattpad story. I could see myself kind of in the main character but I wasn’t into the romance. I’m past my Wattpad era. So for this reason I couldn’t finish this book.
I really liked this book! I thought it was sweet and fast paced! I loved how Natalie kind of grew into her confidence thanks to Josh. I thought it was a little cringey, but not bad! Would recommend!
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Length of book: idk lol Language/TW: 5/10 Format I read: Kindle Unlimited Genre: Rom com Would I recommend to others: Yes!
As most of you know, I'm a sucker when it comes to second chance love stories. Add in a quirky heroine with a troubled past and I am hooked. Once I started Love Rescheduled, I had no desire to put it down and ended up staying curled up in bed reading it until the very end. I just couldn't get enough of Nat and Josh!
Oh my heart! Their journey had all the feels I have come to adore in second chance stories. My heart broke for our sweet Natalie. With a troubled upbringing, she didn't see any other choice than to push Josh away. All she wanted was for him to be happy. She thought she was doing good on her own until fate brought Josh back into her life. Now her life has been turned upside down and she doesn't know whether to run to or from Josh.
Speaking of Josh... *dreamy sigh* If ever anyone was perfect for Nat, it would be him. He loved her unconditionally and refused to give up on them without a fight. I loved that he knew just which buttons to push to help her step outside her comfort zone and own who she really is, quirks, schedules, and all.
Every introvert should have at least one extrovert best friend. But what's even better than that? TWO extrovert best friends! Tara and Jolene were the best! I adored these two and the story definitely would not have been complete without them. I'm crossing my fingers that we'll get their stories as well. I am not ready to be done with this trio! They are seriously the best!
One of my favorite things about Ms. Peel is she's not afraid to embrace the hard stuff. She has the ability to take the taboo topics of real life and write them in a way that's easy to read, all while still tugging at your heartstrings. She never fails to make me feel all the feels. I am definitely looking forward to seeing what she has in store for us next!
And of course I can't forget my casting. This one was a bit hard but I absolutely love them! What do you think?
I always do a little happy dance when I get to read a book by this author, and this time was no exception. I went into the story blind, and while it was unexpected, I absolutely loved it.
After growing up in a traumatic household, Natalie is meticulous at planning out and sticking to a schedule. I’m talking exact, on-the-dot, scheduling, as in she won’t exit her home any earlier or later than exactly 10am to do her daily morning walk. She is also a major introvert and abhors the spotlight and in being at crowded places. Despite her quirks, she is smart, kind, and such a lovable protagonist.
Then there’s Josh. He’s loud, laid-back, easy-going, and thrives on being in the spotlight as he takes the entertainment world by storm in his stand-up comedy. Once upon a time, he and Nat were at the center of each other’s world, but that was three years ago. A chance encounter brings them together again, if only briefly, and oh my word my heart stopped in that moment.
There were so many toe-curling moments in this book, and I loved seeing Nat and Josh work for their happily ever after. It was messy and beautiful, and I was grateful for the realities that the author brought to light in dealing with childhood trauma.
This story took me on such a rollercoaster of emotions, and I happily buckled in for the ride. Fans of Ms Peel’s “More than a Wife” series will LOVE this book. This was such a touching story, filled with schedules, laughter, and most importantly, love. Like Josh says, you can’t schedule love, but you should definitely clear your schedule to read this book!
Sometimes I feel like Jennifer Peel is two entirely different authors writing under the same name. She has stuff like In Name Only or A House Divided that are the perfect light reading for down time… and then there’s this… which was trash. I hated Natalie. Hated her. Wished her a bunch of unhappiness because she was so obsessed with having things her way. Childhood trauma is not an excuse for being human garbage. While I’m on it, if you’re going to harp on someone having childhood trauma and the story is told from their perspective, there NEEDS to be more substantial evidence of it. You have to give me some reason to feel compassion for the character, instead of thinking they’re a self-centered brat. Josh was wonderful, but in the most unrealistic way. Giving your leading man character flaws is a must, but his were just stupid. “He’s too famous!” He’s a comedian, not Ryan Reynolds or Ryan Gosling. “He’s a slob!” Suck it up, honey, people don’t always follow the insanely regimented cleaning schedule you do. Except he wasn’t wonderful when he showed up at her house and demanded to stay. Call the cops, girl! He’s obviously a wreck! I just hated it. I finished it because it was short.
Thankfully a short reading, I don't think I could take the FMC whining for more pages. The book started well, the writing was good to me, but look, I'm a introvert but I don't make this my whole personality, the FMC seemed to be trying to get better, but I didn't see much developing. The MMC barely shows any personality, we don't know much about him beside he's gorgeous, a comedian, and completely in love with her. If I'm being honest, I think she was right, they wouldn't work out because the relationship would exhaust both of them Too much 5 star reviews for this.
I'm debating what to rate this, there are aspects that I like and some that I didn't.
I understood that Nat's "quirks" were extreme and unhealthy. Therapy would of been a good idea. With that being said the girl was honest and a good communicator. She always had the best of intentions for everyone around her. Even when she broke up with Josh she didn't lie or make something up, she point blank told him that she couldn't handle his job choice and that he deserved to have a more supportive partner. She tried and it was to draining for her.
Josh. Well Josh is a d*ck IMO. He didn't fight for the love of his life, he walked away and got engaged within 5 months. Honestly he never came back for me after that scene at the club. What he did was so horribly cruel and petty. He never made up for that and to me that was a big deal. I also felt like he just kept pushing Nat to be different instead of meeting her in the middle. Towards the end he may have compromised more but I can't think of one thing he gave up for her that he actually wanted. The show in LA doesn't count because he didn't even wanna do it.
So ya, I liked the book not a real big fan of Josh but I did like Nat. So 3.5 star's rounded up because my goodreads rating is so low🤣
This wasn't my favourite read from Peel but I felt she did a great job with a pretty tricky premise.
Natalie broke up with the love of her life, Josh, because she felt she was holding him back from his dreams. Natalie is the victim of a rough childhood and has grown up to feel worthless and diminished. Although she's spent time working on herself and building a good life around her, she still didn't feel up to the contrast that life with Josh would have presented, in its full extroverted glory.
I typically struggle with second chance romances because often times it seems incessantly angsty and the premise for why the initial break up happened is either justified (in which case it's hard for me to root for a reconcilement) or asinine (in which case I also don't root for a reconcilement because what a waste of time).
In Love Rescheduled, Peel did an excellent job of really layering and justifying why Natalie felt like she had no choice, while simultaneously weaving in that it wasn't the right choice (if that makes sense). Natalie shouldn't have broken up with Josh but the reader perfectly understands her reasons for doing so, and you don't blame her for it. So I gave full marks for a great execution of a high difficulty move.
I also wouldn't always love a Josh personality, in that he's super pushy and all, but in this I thought his character was developed well so nothing felt like it was just for plot.
Okay so why 3 stars, this story doesn't have momentum. All the praise for how well developed everyone is and how their decisions were justified is also a little bit of the downfall of the book. After the initial premise, it does get repetitive. Natalie is often having the same (or similar) musings, her conversations with Josh are all the same, her conversations with her friends are the same through the book. This is hard to get around because this is a reconcilement story, and it's a romance so the ending is inevitable. But there wasn't anything to especially keep my interest. Because of this, I was more observing the couple rather than feeling actively invested in them. So 3 stars it is.

Ohhh! I loved it! I loved reading about Natalie’s rigidly scheduled life at the beginning of the book and then seeing her loosening the tight reins on her schedule as the story progressed. There were so many inspirational and empowering thoughts included that helped introvert Natalie move past her childhood trauma and relationship fears with extrovert comedian Josh. I’m not much of a highlighter but I was highlighting and saving statements left and right in this story.
I appreciated that the story showed emotional growth for both characters. It wasn’t all about her and her control issues. Although I have to say, Josh was kind of a perfect book boyfriend. Well, besides his pigsty tendencies.
The dates we read Natalie went on in search for love had me laughing. I loved them. It was unexpected and hilarious. Even though Natalie considered herself a wallflower that liked to hide away, she has quite the humor. Very funny enjoyable rom com! Great book and it’s on KU!
Rating: PG-13, mostly clean but not squeaky since it has some mild/light language. Mild kissing. This was a closed door romance. The only things on page was frequent thoughts and discussion of “scheduled sexy time” from their past and potentially in the future. No details given. Mild sexual innuendo.
Another good witty, humorous novel by Jennifer Peel
It amazes how the author takes difficult circumstances with families or relationships and crafts them into funny and compelling stories. In this one, Natalie’s former boyfriend Josh embarrasses her beyond her ability to cope and comes across as not worthy of her. The remainder of the book is about his attempts to get back in her life. . It is very funny and enjoyable. I would highly recommend. I think this think this would make an excellent audio book if the right performance artist is picked to do it. I would encourage the publishers and aurthor to make it happen. I would buy it.
Aww! I loved this book so much! I was rooting for these two from the very beginning and so happy they got a second chance at love! I really loved how crazy Josh was about Nat and how he persued her! I was dying when just showed up at her house and camped out for a while! He was so dang cute and I loved that he loved her despite her neurotic tendencies. Natalie was great too, despite her idiosyncrasies, I really liked her and wanted her to have real love in her life! I loved that Josh saw all the good things about her and how together they helped each other come “home.”
This is a second-chance romance featuring Natalie and Josh. Natalie is an extreme introvert, battling demons stemming from childhood verbal/mental abuse. Josh is a famous comedian extrovert. Three years ago, Natalie walked out of Josh’s life, thinking she was doing it for his good. When they run into each other again though and Josh humiliates her on stage, making her a viral laughingstock, Natalie wishes she could get the stupid man out of her heart once and for all. But Josh is making that hard for her to do. This was a fun romance with lots of heart-tugging, misbeliefs to smash to pieces, and clean sizzle between the hero and heroine. Awesome book!
I stumbled upon this book by complete accident and had a love/hate relationship with it while reading. I’m a sucker for a good second chance romance and this one was definitely that. However, I will say that I wasn’t a massive fan of the constant miscommunication between them and the whole part about the best friend telling her that all she’s doing is ruining his career, blah..blah..blah.., but that’s just my personal opinion. Other than that I did like some elements of the story.

Cute and sweet! A completely clean, and swear-free rom-com with some different aspects to the storyline than typically seen in rom-coms!
I enjoyed reading it because I heavily related to the main character’s type A personality and love of calendars and scheduling/planning. Ultimately, she learned there are sometimes more important things in life than keeping a tight schedule and it’s okay if plans change sometimes.
Super cute, fun, hilarious read! Light romcom. Josh and Natalie are so cute together. I loved how Josh knew he wanted to be Natalie to be in his life and did what he had to do to win her back. Natalie lowered her guard and finally admitted that Josh was hee true love!
I am not like another girls. jag är har ett beroende av planera allt. Läste inte klart alls, klarar inte av hennes som karaktär eller hur hon tänkter konstant
This was a short, quick and delightful read. It was a cute romance book with all the Hallmark feels that I always love. I’m a sucker for it. Not sorry 🤪 Yes it is predictable, but aren’t most rom coms? We still read them and love them!! 😃 I have read a few others by Jennifer Peel and I’ve enjoyed them all! If you haven’t read any of hers, you should.
Happiest read of the year. A laugh out loud second chance romance.
When I was laughing at line 3 I knew it was going to be a good one. This book delivered! I love the second chance romance between Nat and Josh. They bring heartache and best of all laughter and yum romance. #TeamNaSh are my favorite reunite couple. I am rooting for a book 2 & 3 for more from Nats friends Tara and Jolene. Please, more Alec!
I usually like Jennifer Peel's books, but this was not a favorite. I did love the part with the characters on the podcast. But a lot of the book seemed repetitious. The part about her always needing a plan and a schedule and their' closed door but almost not' descriptions were very frequent. Not for book for me.
Frankly, the premise seemed silly, & I wasn't sure I wanted to read it. However, it's Jennifer Peel, so it was worth trying out!
Natalie grew on me despite her neurosis. It helped when we learned more about her childhood. Josh definitely gets off on the wrong foot at the beginning of the book, & I was glad he kept apologizing for his impulsive stupidity instead of one & done.
The plot development is pretty standard, but I enjoyed the part that Alec played in their relationship, & how everything works out with the happy couple basically learning to work together. After I got past my initial reservations, it was pretty entertaining!
There's a hint of a possible book 2 with Tara that sounds intriguing as well...
*Romance level: passionate kisses, previous relationship doesn't openly speak of a sexual relationship but there's room for the implication
*Language: minor; ~2 dozen uses of h-ll, d-mn & pr-ck in total
