When a lion alpha finds his mate in a tiger omega, will they find harmony in their lives, or will the past get in their way?
Parker Sullivan enjoys his job as the head interrogator for the paranormal council, but he’s realized it’s become all that he has. His department is one of the last to be staffed, which means he has long hours and not much time for anything else. He sees the enforcers finding their mates and wonders if he will someday be as fortunate to be blessed by fate, but does he have time for a mate?
Markus Ross was thankful to be rescued by the powerful warlock and snarky vampire two years ago. With no desire to return to his birth pride, he’s only too happy to move to Montana and hope for a new life. Just when he finally seems to have found his place with Alpha War at the sheriff’s department, a sexy lion shifter walks into the place and throws his life into a tailspin.
Determined to be the gentleman his parents raised him to be, Parker misses some cues from his mate, and frustration grows on both their sides. With a little bit of push from his sexy omega, Parker and Markus find themselves mated sooner than either of them really anticipated. But they say fate always gets her way. Does that ring true for the new couple? Will they have an easy mating and pregnancy, or will there be difficult times ahead?
Parker is Book Eight in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series. Each book in this series will focus on a different couple, but these books are not standalones and should be read in order as there is an ongoing backstory that won’t be resolved quickly. This is a fated mate story in an MPreg world, and there will be babies in this story. You should expect all the normal shenanigans, heats, biting, knotting, and remember that sometimes even fated mates need a little help.
Cute. What I've come to expect from this series. Sweet couple, instalove, pregnancy, baby. Or babies. Taylor hasn't shaken things much with this one, but it was nice.
I really enjoyed this book. Another good read by Taylor Rylan. Parker is a lion shifter, and is the Head Enforcer with the Paranormal Council. Even though he enjoys his job with the Council he realises that’s all he has, since is department is the last to be staffed it means extremely long hours. He sees all the Enforcers finding their mates and wonders if he’ll be someday blessed by fate. He has no idea that, that day is sooner than he thinks. Markus is a tiger shifter, who was rescued by Master Edison and Master Ambrosius two years ago. He’s been living in Montana since and he’s recently been working at the Sherrif’s Department. When Parker goes down to Honey Creek to talk to Brice and see if he’d like to go for a run with him, or if he knows where Atticus is as Parker usually runs with either Atticus or Damien? The last thing Parker expects is to find his mate. Parker is a gentleman and is happy to go at Markus’s pace. Markus decides to give him a little push in the right direction but the two of them find themselves mated quicker than they both expected.
Their relationship definitely moves at warp speed, they met, mated, got pregnant and moved to a new house up on Treasure Ridge all within two weeks. I thought the chemistry between Parker and Markus was off the charts, as well as hot as hell. I thought that they were perfect together. I loved how Parker’s parents accepted Markus straight away and he even calls them Mum & Dad. Markus’s parents are a*seholes and I’ll leave it at that so he’s now part of a loving family. I still really want to know what the mysterious presence is on the mountain that seems to be protective of pregnant omegas is. I’m glad that Taylor said that this series is going to be quite long, as I’d happily read as many books that Taylor chooses to write, especially from this universe. I’ve already pre-ordered Raiden and Castiel’s books which I’m looking forward to reading them when they’re released. I’m still hoping we get Damien’s, Knox (Luc’s brother), Briggs and maybe some of the new Enforcers like Dmitri (Alpha Sergei’s - the created dragon’s grandson) and Deacon get their own happily ever afters as well. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
Another fantastic read, definitely 4.5 stars. Loved Parker, we only saw him in book 1 and I think 2 but then no more. Glad we finally see him again. He was everything I was expecting from an alpha and I loved it. He was so attentive and patient with Markus. He wanted his mate to feel good, no matter what. Markus was very assertive and independent, loved it. I liked how they didn't immediately went to claiming each other. They waited and had a date, it was very cute. And triplets? Damn man, that's something
Parker and Markus were so cute together. I loved that after a few rough starts to matings in previous books that Parker and Markus’ mating was very low angst. I was happy for them that they got to have a such an easier time of it and were able to just slowly learn each other without other stresses. I did feel for Parker in the sense that so much changed suddenly. No matter how amazing the changes are, sometimes it can feel overwhelming and different people handle that feeling differently. It was sweet how open Markus was to letting Parker feel the way he did without taking it as a personal insult. It wasn’t that Parker wasn’t super happy, it was just he was overwhelmed. I also really, really loved that Parker put people right in respect of Marc. I really felt like Marc got treated awfully in the last book, especially when other enforcers had been allowed to move away from field work often getting the offer before they even needed to ask. Parker’s ability to actually understand by thinking of what Marc went through just made me love him even more, especially as once we actually got to know him it was plain to see he was a really lovely guy. Lots of other things are going on but I don’t want to spoil those. Needless to say this is a great addition to the series.
Parker, a lion shifter Alpha, walks into the Sheriff’s office and is overcome by the scent of his mate Markus, a tiger shifter omega, who didn’t have the greatest upbringing and works with the Sheriff’s Department. Parker gets a bit flustered and tongue tied which isn’t the best first impression but he and Markus make arrangements to get together later that night for a date.
Parker tries his best to remain gentlemanly but the pull between them is too strong and before they know it Parker and Markus are claiming each other which is just the start of the steamy times!
Be prepared for plenty of steam and heat, two wonderful men who although fated and perfect for each other understand the need for communication, a pregnancy that Markus is thrilled about but can’t wait for it to be over and friends from previous books making appearances.
This is a very engaging and enjoyable instalment in the series and I look forward to more.
Parker, an alpha lion, has been in the periphery since the first book. He is a former Seattle police detective, turned head interrogator for the Council. Markus was rescued from New Orleans 2 years prior and has been living and working in Honey Creek. I loved seeing more of Arik as he’s mentioned a lot but Constantine seems to have taken over most of the birthing jobs, so seeing that he and fellow tiger shifter Markus have become good friends was nice. After the past few enforcers have had some rocky starts to their matings it was great that after the initial fumbling Parker and Markus in a low angst way.
This is the first time we’ve had a wider view of the work of the Council and I loved that we’re getting that. I hope for future books to maybe come from different departments too. (I’m definitely looking at the 3 brothers who work at the store!) I also enjoyed seeing a different side of Marc, a side character who was an enforcer, who got a bad deal in the previous book. Parker showed a deep understanding and compassionate side of himself for someone he barely knew displaying what a proper kind alpha he is. There are some exciting new things that occur that I can’t spoil but am interested to see what these changes might mean for the overarching story.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
. . . Stars: ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌟 Hot: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 É uma leitura F(. . .), desculpe pela palavra, eu amei 🖤. . . Amei! . . Boa Leitura 😘
I knew nothing about Parker or Markus before this book and we don't really learn much more either. I found that I didn't really care about them much at all. Nothing really happens besides Parker getting more people in his department and the pregnancy, so it was basically 75-80% pregnancy. We also don't get a whole lot of "getting to know you" for the couple. This author can describe every single step a character takes in getting ready in the morning, often repeating the same words or sentences, but can't seem to describe any part of the two MCs forming a bond with each other. I wanted more of Parker and Markus falling in love. They were both basically blindsided by this, mated and accepted the bond as it is. Everything happened so fast and Parker even noticed that Markus wasn't really having any sort of reaction to being mated. Markus even stayed at work after finding out. It seemed like neither of them had any enthusiasm for each other at all. The chemistry was just not there. Overall a bit disappointing, but I knew it would be. The only reason I'm continuing is for Castiel's book.
I for one couldn't put this one down! Parker is the latest installment in this amazing paranormal world Taylor Rylan has created. Parker is about the sweetest alpha I have ever read while still managing to be the silly over protective and occasionally overbearing mate that is at this point expected by an alpha in romance novels that is so comforting to read. These characters are amazing continuing to build a world you already love if you have read any other book by Taylor. But also they introduce new parts of the council we haven't heard about before now and give redemption to a character that desperately deserved it! This was a sweet fun romance with the added bonus of some new introductions to characters unheard of before now.
This is the first book that I have by this author but it won’t be my last. Parker, who is a lion shifter, walks into the sheriffs office to see if someone wants to go on a run with him. He is gobsmacked with the scent of his mate. With Brice and Alpha War helping he gets to meet Markus who is working there. They arrange to go on a date so they can get to know each other. After mating, they need to make decisions as to where they would live and if Markus would continue to go to school and work. This is a great high heat, great chemistry and no angst read which contains mpreg which is my favourite. Loved it and cannot wait to read more.
Parker is a lion shifter, and he discovers his mate, Markus. Markus has been neglected by family and he knows what he wants from his mate. The two decide to date and take things slow after a misunderstanding, but they end up claiming one another. Parker knows that Markus is an independent man and allows him to make his own decisions about where they are going to live and if he decides to finish school. With the help of the other shifters, they get all the help they need when it comes to relationships and their growing family. I enjoyed the book as much as the others, and I'm looking forward to the next book.
There is nothing better than a lion shifter becoming a bit tongue tied when he scents his mate! Parker's mate just happens to work at the Honey Creek Sheriffs Dept! That is right, you heard me, Honey Creek Alert! Somehow Markus makes Parker cute! These two are sweet and they have a lot of decisions to make under their circumstances. Markus is still a bit in the dark when it comes to the world of shifters and vampires! I wonder where they will end up settling down! You will have to read for yourself! Great addition to this series. I thought it was one of the sweeter romances!
I loved this book! Taylor Rylan is one such f my favorite authors. Her books are well written and the characters really draw you in and make you root for them. Parker and Markus are no exception. They two strong and independent shifters who know what they want but just need a little extra TLC from someone special. And they find it in each other. This book is all about a loving and trusting relationship that is sweet and very passionate and is filled with a lot laughs, great friends and family, and enough drama to keep very very interesting. A definite must read for anyone who loses paranormal romance.
What a sweet story... Parker and Markus are a fated pair, but neither wants to make assumptions about how their relationship should proceed. So the beginning is a little bumbling and awkward... I think that's what makes me love them so much! This is the 8th book in the Paranormal Enforcers series and a part of the author's big Destined Paranormal world, so you'll enjoy it even more if you read all of the books, in order, because the characters keep coming back. It's one big, interwoven storyline... and it's not done yet. Enjoy!
This is Book Eight of the Paranormal Council Enforcers Book Series .
This was a decent read I didn't know either protagonist and it was interesting getting to know them . Although this couple was not the one I've been waiting on . We still have Oscar that hasn't found his mate yet he's is the last of the omegas that was rescuded . Then there's also the other gargoyle twin and the gargoyle doctor . And I'm intrigued by the brothers that run the market
Parker and Markus are great characters but too much page time was given to Max, the human in the sheriff's department. I was happy to see Marc get his second chance in the council, but it was jarring to have him go from being disdained by the enforcers to, that was the error of one of the created ones...did anyone ever go back to talk to Marc's original team to ensure they stopped adding their blame to his head? As you can see, while I did enjoy Parker and Markus, their story was buried at times under other plot lines.
Parker is the eighth book in the Paranormal Enforcers series. It really needs to be read in order to get the full gist of what’s going on in that world. Markus and Parker were so sweet together! Parker is the lead enforcer interrogator for the council. He’s always been a bit quiet. Markus was rescued by the council and has started over his life. When they meet and discover they are fated mates, things get bumpy for a minute. Their story is sweet, low angst and a satisfying read. Well written with nice pacing!
I really enjoyed this return trip to the Paranormal Council Universe! Parker and Markus’s story is a low angst, fated mates romance. Their path to happiness is sweet and satisfying. I have read all of the books in this series and this one is my new favorite! While this story can be read on its own you will benefit greatly from reading the books in order. I highly recommend this series!
I love these two so much & I love how flawless their mating seemed to be. Not all matings are but they got lucky & they are absolutely perfect for each other. I adore how Parker’s parents just folded Markus into the family like he’d always been there, he needed that. This whole series has been wonderful and Taylor is absolutely amazing, I can’t wait for Ramsay’s book. ❤️😀
Parker is a lion shifter and head interrogator for the paranormal council. Due to staffing issues in his department he is overwhelmed with work and doesn't think he'll ever have time for finding his mate. Then he goes to Honey Creek and discovers his mate has recently started working with Alpha War and Brice at the sheriffs' department! Surprise !! Surprisingly the only human there, Max is still not clued in to the paranormal world. Between that, stuttered brain fog, night classes and work, they are off to a slow start. Then, bam! It's full throttle with mpreg, new hires and moving. Love this couple.
These two were adorable! After an initial miscommunication these two were able to fix their misunderstanding and become an adorable couple! Gave us a look at some of the other fields in the paranormal council as well as a different look into what happened when bear shifter, mark, found and claimed his mate. Looking forward to the next book in this series! 😀
No spoilers of any kind included. So all I will say about this book is I thought Parker was pure awesomeness! But then again I think every book in the Paranormal Council Enforcers series is amazing, Taylor Rylan is a very gifted story weaver and I really enjoy reading her work. So yes I am definitely going to recommend Parker, actually truth be told I recommend the whole series.
There is not much more that I can write that hasn't already been written. I think Parker is the nicest alpha that I have read in this series. The way he accepted Marc in his department and how he thought differently than the others. He was made for Markus and I loved their story. Recommend reading and looking forward to Ramsey's story.
Another great book in this series! Parker and Markus were a perfect match; a lion alpha and tiger omega. It was a sweet, fated mate romance, very low angst. I love this world so much, every book is wonderful. This one is no different. I can’t wait for the next book! I voluntarily received an Advanced Reader Copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I really enjoyed this latest book in the Paranormal Council series! When they first meet it was slightly awkward and it was cute to see Parker mumble and bumble his way through talking to Markus. It was a sweet journey watching them grow and find their way together. I really enjoyed their story and I can't wait for more. Well done!!!
I couldn’t put the book down. I was excited to read Parker’s book especially because he is not a regular enforcer. His mate Markus was adorable. We heard a little about Markus and Parker in previous books but I loved reading more of both of their stories.
I love the council enforcers series, I was looking forward to Parker story and it didn’t disappoint. Parker and Markus were great together. The whole series is just once great read after another I hope Taylor never stops writing. X
Very nice book. Minimal with the angst which I really liked. Parker seemed to be the least “alpha” alpha so far which I really liked and made him different than the rest of the alpha characters. I cannot wait for the next book as well
Another amazing addition to this amazing world. I love Markus and Parker! They are so sweet with each other. Taylor Rylan does disappoint with this story. I just love being back in this world see new characters and seeing old characters too. I can't wait for the next story!
