Custody: Blood Is Thicker Than Water

Rate this book
Inspired by a true story. Custody: Blood is thicker than water unfolds an incredible story of a father fighting for justice to have custody of his only son.

Danial Mason grew up in central Victoria Australia and had a yearning to travel, in 1966 ventured to Auckland New Zealand. He met a girl got married, he was gifted with a son and then the marriage break-up. The break-up of the marriage and the mother wanting sole custody of the child began the quest by Danial Masons to gain custody of his son.

The story centres around the legal system at the time whereas it favoured the mother as the law stated that a child under five remains with the mother in custody matters. The system was a harsh and bitter one set by the child welfare justice system along with the courts and Danial Mason being the father challenged this, it was monumental let alone finding a lawyer to represent him.

By his faith and vision, he was drawn to the church this is where he found an outstanding lady lawyer, the lawyer was the defining moment in this extraordinary historic court case and how it all unfolded.

There were many incidents leading up to and during the court case that readers will find difficult and hard to believe. Far too often fathers get portrayed as the aggressor, lies and unfounded stories are told in court cases by their ex-partners against fathers to better their own cause, this story would appeal to any father seeking to have custody of their children and fight for their rights.

This is an entertaining story that has plenty of drama, domestic violence, tension that will keep you guessing to the end, based on actual events that had taken place in New Zealand in the 1970's.

Thanks for the free kindle copy.
This book is way too wordy.
It is 698 pages of minute details that didn't need addressed.
I quit reading about a fourth of the way in...went to the end and read the last 2 chapters.
If the author rewrites and scales it down to 300 pages, I might consider reading the whole thing.

Hi, i bought an E-book on Custody Blood is Thicker Than Water, and i have to say i was amazed, yes finally someone has written an amazing book that explains his personal experience in how he had to go to court, and fight for his young son.

His rights as a father was taken away as if he had no rights at all, the injustice that he had to face was unbearable, yes he never ever gave up because he had one thing that kept him going, and that is his inner-strength to fight for his rights, and believe that in the end he would overcome any obstacles.

As a writer/author myself i am proud that this man has written one of the most important books, that i believe will inspire all fathers who have suffered similar circumstances, i urge all people to buy this book called: CUSTODY, BLOOD IS THICKER THAN WATER, and become inspired to never ever give up in life.

An amazing book Mr Danial Mason, thank for giving the world of Fathers the Knowledge to Fight for their Rights in seeing their children especially after a break-up.

I absolutely loved this book, I was so impressed to see some show the truth of our legal system today. How thrilling to show the inequality fathers are treated with. Sadly most stories we read are about the pour treatment the women in our nation has received.

I know many mothers that have won custody of their children just because, they are women. It is as though fathers lose their rights for being men. When so many mothers are incapable of being a good parent. So I am so thrilled to see this author’s experience in fighting for custody of his child. I think we have fought for women’s rights and in turn left men’s rights in the dust. I thank the author for showing his strength and determination to never give up and keep going each day.

I am so happy to have received this book as a winner of a giveaway. Thank you for this opportunity. I want to point out I have given this book a five because I believe it should be celebrated. I also want to refer this book to everyone, and maybe we can start to remember that we are all equal weather we are women or men.

The story was interesting and the author describes his struggle to be awarded custody of his son after his wife left him. It was sad all the unpleasantness he went through because of his ex wife’s accusations against him and the court system favoring the woman.
The book though needs to be edited better. There were many parts in my copy where whole paragraphs were repeated and as a result it didn’t flow well when reading. I also felt a lot of the writing was repetitive and that should have be edited as well.
Thanks for the free copy.

Wow, what an amazing story. Like in divorce and domestic violence cases where the legal system favours the wife, the legal system certainly favours the mother in custody battles and to challenge this is a monumental battle for the husband or father. A gripping read, it was hard to put the book down!

I feel bad, but I read the first 50 pages. Just could not get through it. Maybe, because it was based in another country. I thank the author, for giving me the chance to read it.
