Gil Boyne made many original contributions to the practice of hypnotherapy in over 55 years of Hypnotherapy practice and teaching, and trained more than 12,000 hypnotherapists worldwide. Now available online for the first time, you can get all the benefits of Gil’s knowledge, teachings and experience.
Whether you are looking to be the best hypnotherapist you can be, or just someone with an interest in hypnotherapy, there is no better person to learn from than one of the pioneers of modern hypnotherapy.
This book is mostely a transscript of some "Stage sessions" Gil did with some clients. The sessions was also video'ed and are used in his "Transforming Therapy" hypnosis training. The book is mostly to be used with this training. I cant see a greater purpose for the book without the trainig.
(Training for Transforming Therapy can be taken in the UK directly with Gil Boyne or Dr. John Butler)
In this book by the master hypnotherapist Boyne, you will find live transcripts of sessions. These sessions are named for the initial reason for hypnosis: Stammering, bad speller, stage anxiety, sexual dysfunction...but become much, much more. Each session of masterful intuitively mixed techniques. For the non initiated, Boyne tries to explain throughout the book his thought process, but one who is trained in the art of hypnotherapy will have an even greater appreciation for his skill.
Very powerful tools for hypnotherapists. Gil is using hypnosis and Gestalt therapy in an original way, that gives him a solid structure to work with any client. Gil is direct, confrontative, empathic and mysterious in the same time. I think this is one of the best books in the field of hypnosis.
"What is expected tends to be realized. When we say, 'I'm afraid. I don't want to make a mistake. I'm afraid I might make a mistake.' That creates a mental image which acts as a blueprint and literally says to the subconscious, 'Make a mistake.'"
Gil has a bit of an outdated approach compared to what we'd do these days but the case studies are nonetheless very educational. A great read for anyone practicing clinical hypnotherapy.
