This book is book three. Bailey suffers from chronic pain and many injuries from a bomb when he was stationed over-seas. He gets some relief form potions his friend, an elf now mortal, supplies him. He is in love with his captain David Wellmine, but not sure David reciprocates or even is gay, though David has been very supportive for him.
David also has his dragons to fight. He actually is the lead of the task force that is almost done with its mission and may be disassembled and his personal ones. He lives his life the way his dad wants but part of him want to express his true feelings and what he really wants to do with his life.
The story is good. It’s very deep and emotional but not full of angst. It deals with the deep feelings in a sweet fun way. The fantasy aspect of this story, the elves, dragons, potion, magic, help to lighten the load and make it intriguing. I will admit I haven’t read the first two and would love to so I get a better feel of the other characters and the fantasy world.
If you like fantasy, elves, Irish, magic, coming out and some fairly hot man-sex, this is for you! For those that need to know I would call this one a HEA. (Happy Ever After)

This is a continuation of the Dragons series and is Bailey and David's story. Everyone knows that David and Bailey are attracted but nothing ever happens. Bailey figures it's because of his injuries he sustained in Iraq, he shakes and has trouble with his balance. Mordred who wants everyone happy arranges for a love spell on St. Patrick's Day. They have 24 hours of amazing sex and you find out that David's politician father has big plans for him in parliament and he's never not done what his father wants save for joining the military. After Bailey confesses his love he tells David he has to choose, try and win his father's approval or Bailey. There is lots of Mordred and George and Kael and Hugh so it's kind of fun to see them all together and to get a look inside Bailey and David's heads. It's typical TA, an nice easy read which was I needed at the time.

Everyone can see that Sergeant Bailey Stevenson and Captain David Wellmine are deeply attracted to one another. But Bailey, having been badly injured in Iraq, doesn’t see himself as particularly desirable and David has been living in his father’s shadow for so long he’s scared to come out and lose what little affection the man has for him. Good thing for Bailey and David they’ve got some meddling friends, one of whom is an elf. Irish magic is particularly strong on St. Patrick’s Day, and a spell lowers David and Bailey’s inhibitions, allowing them to finally connect. But when the spell ends, will David have the courage to stand up to his father so he can claim the life he could have with Bailey?
Fighting Dragons is one of those stories that is just simply beautiful to read. Its cast of characters quickly endeared themselves to me and the romance between David and Bailey warmed my heart even as the love scenes turned up the heat. What charmed me about Fighting Dragons is how quickly the characters, from David and Bailey to their friends, became real to me. I was so disappointed when I finished Fighting Dragons because I wanted more, not because the story was incomplete but because I hated to leave Bailey and David behind.
Fighting Dragons is the third story in T.A. Chase’s Dragons series, but readers new to the series, like myself, will be able to follow along. Still, with the heroes of the previous two books – Kael, Hugh, Mordred, and George – playing such prominent roles in Fighting Dragons, I’m sure new readers will also be racing to read Here Be Dragons and Dreaming of Dragons, just like I am.
I absolutely loved Fighting Dragons and I cannot wait to read the first two books in the series while I cross my fingers in the hope that T. A. Chase has more Dragons stories planned.

The third installment of this series focuses on two side characters from the previous two books: Sergeant Bailey Stevenson and Captain David Wellmore. Bailey has no question about his attraction for his captain, though he can't believe that attraction would ever be returned. For David, the feeling is mutual, but he could never act on it - it doesn't fit into his father's plans for his political future. But when Mordred, who can't help but meddle, seeks some magical aid, will they be able to overcome the obstacles keeping them apart?
This was a nice little follow-up to the last book and it was nice to see a story that focused more on Bailey as I wanted to know more about him in the last book. There isn't as much action in this one, but it's still a fun read and I found it enjoyable.

3 Stars. Probably my least favorite of the series for the simple fact that there was virtually no paranormal in it other than the characters from the previous two books. It was primarily a love story between David & Bailey which while nice the main story (at least at this point) ended with Dreaming of Dragons

Not quite a enjoyable as the first the two lacked something!!! Alot shorter than others in the series but very enjoyable

Meh at best. Choppy writing, overwrought plot, soap opera emotions.

Enjoyed very much. I liked the story and enjoyed the 6 main characters very much.
