This play is funny but intense. An actor who has decided to retire because he’s not getting the kind of work he wants explains his decision and attitude. As someone who is grateful to work in public service every day I cannot relate to the idea that one’s own vision and art comes above all else.

This is not 4 stars in its writing, but I think that many people (actors or otherwise) can feel connected to this narrative even if they don’t find themselves in it specifically. It is funny, but it’s also inherently sad to me.
