Very good self-help/human potential book with a scientific twist - the author applies Quantum Theory to shaping possibilities in a provocative and interesting way. Concepts of waves vs. particles and decoherence are bolstered with examples from the world of physics and then applied to the world of "turning any possibility into a reality." That's all good, and if you can keep your mind open and wrap your ahead around some of the physics, there are some truly useful tips on how to get some fresh insights.
Unfortunately, I realized that after about a week of distance from the early quantum theory chapters, I realized I was having trouble remembering the significance of those insights. I had to go back and re-read many passages to retain their relevance, and a few months from now, who knows? At minimum, you can take away the notion that there are many more possibilities in life then we normally consider, and that's always good.
In the latter half of the book, we are on more familiar ground with topic headings covering the major areas we can improve ourselves - Amp Up Your Career, Amp Up Your Wealth, Amp Up Your Love Life, Amp Up Your Health, Amp Up Your Giving - and the value of these sections will depend upon your own individual areas of interest or need. In particular, the author writes compellingly and with great detail about the benefits of charitable giving and volunteerism in the "Amp Up Your Giving" chapter, and she convincingly explains the many benefits you will receive by including a major service component in your life's work. It has inspired me to commit to doing more, and Kim provides some great tools to guide you from wishful thinking to actual implementation - thank you for your fresh and insightful perspective.
Key concepts: The Inverse Quantum Zeno Effect (subheading - Accelerating the Realization of Your Dreams) and Decoherence (Living on the Edge of Possibility and Reality). If that is intriguing, check it out. I really enjoyed the scientific component of this book - you'll probably want to take some good notes to help retain the concepts, especially if you intend to apply them in your own life.
