꧁ Second graphic novel of the Disney Fairies series ꧂
❁ Contains five stories focussing on Tinkerbell and her fairy friends. Tink is present in every story, though not always in the main role.
❁ Has several book-only characters who were not a part of the Tinkerbell movies. Again, Tinkerbell, Terence, and Vidia are the only main movie characters present in these stories.
❁ Queen Clarion makes her first appearance, and I am honestly so disappointed at her look! The graphics have deleted all the regal elements from her appearance and turned her into a cutesy bubblegum-pink-wearing fairy godmother. She doesn’t even look like a queen! 😐
❁ The first three stories are just about average, none too memorable. But the last two stories made this volume worth a read.
❁ Simple text, easy to read for the target age group.
❁ Mixed feelings about the graphics. The colours and background nature sketches were gorgeous but the character depictions didn’t always make me happy.
❁ Officially for ages 6-10 years.
❁ Story-wise ratings: 🧚♀️ Colors of Friendship - ⭐⭐⭐ 🧚♀️ The Lost Fairy - ⭐⭐✨ 🧚♀️ The Most Beautiful Dress - ⭐⭐✨ 🧚♀️ The Wings of Rani - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🧚♀️ Barefoot - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Overall average: 3.4 stars.
This was much better than the first book, but my expectations from Tinkerbell are obviously higher.
My in-house reading partner, who had earlier declared that she won’t join me on this read after being bored by the first volume, was tempted by my ratings to give the last two stories a try. She too enjoyed them both. So she worked backwards and tried story three, thanks to its appealing title. She hated it, declared my rating as “too generous”, and gave up on the book. 😑
Fingers crossed for the next one to breach at least the 4-star mark! I am pretty sure my buddy won't be tempted to join me, so it will be a solo endeavour.
This was a library read. Not a must-read; just good for a library borrow.
I love this book. It takes a small fairy that is meant to be essentially just a helper but ironically becomes so much more. Showing female strength and friendship is something that little girls should be able to learn. I recommend this for independent reading.
Tink literally is not in the story about Rani’s wings lol I like the art. Love how sparkly the cover is. Not what I expected when I read this was a graphic novel. It’s so thin! The writing isn’t the best. The plots are decent but Lily called a bumblebee “bub” and I don’t think she would do that lol. The only person I’ve heard use the word “bub” is wolverine lol The dialogue is just kinda awkward Vidia saying shopping makes her feel better Uhhhh I don’t think there’s currency in Pixie Hollow how is she shopping Tink called Vidia “dearies” it should’ve been “dearest” Unless you want to justify it by saying Tink doesn’t know the proper word to use becuase she’s not in the habit of sassing people with terms of endearment the way Vidia is But that’s stupid lol Also where are Rani’s sleeves???? It’s still a cute dress without the sleeves, but Rani’s dress is so iconic why would you take off the sleeves
Colors of Friendship - The painting was cute but I don’t think that’s how paint works lol Idk Pixie Hollow logic
The Lost Fairy - Poor baby lost on arrival day Weird that Lily’s like “here’s the only one that exists!” and then they just. Find a whole bush
The Most Beautiful Dress - I actually kinda like that dress. Need an animal talent fairy who’s really into dress up. Fawn and Beck both aren’t and those r the only ones I know lol And non-animal talents who are tomboys! That would be nice too Did Prilla help make Vidia a new dress or did she just sew some stuff onto an existing one? Why not just repair the dress she had? The rip wasn’t that big Beck’s “dress” looked bad 😭 The butterflies were neat but the execution was poor lol Interesting to see Vidia attending an event. She hates everyone and everyone hates her and she committed crimes against their beloved Mother Dove but no one questions her going to the dance Such a weird dynamic Prilla is so sweet and she’s the only person with patience for Vidia. I love their friendship <3
The Wings of Rani - What is up with Beck’s hair in this thing isn’t she blond????
Barefoot - lol Tink you’re smarter than that don’t go barefoot in your workshop. Anywhere else would be fine but you have so many random shards of metal in there and you’re kinda a mess that is an accident waiting to happen Fun to see Fira! I like Fira. Don’t get to see her enough she gets overshadowed by Iridessa. I like Iridessa too but she gets to be in the movies, the books are all that Fira’s got Also! Queen Clarion’s hat was terrible!
This is a collection of short episodes that happen in the same world. It's not a single story, but several and Tink doesn't appear in all. I was expecting it to be more like a full graphic novel. The art and the stories are well done and adequate, honoring friendship and other positive values.
The cover has texture and glitters, which I found very awesome. I wish the paperbacks were a bit larger ( they are just a bit larger than a kindle) so the text and the amazing art are a bit reduced. (5x7.5)
Another Goodwill find, another cute little book. I really should read more graphic novels (not just ones about fairies). Great art, sweet stories. Tink and her friends seem to have a lot of fun in Pixie Hollow, even with Vidia around.
While I was reading this, I was so happy to see that the author taught wonderful and valuable lessons in each story. One story was a story of friendship, another was about helping out even when it's not convenient for you. I was awed with the story of sacrifice and being different from everyone else. The author showed that sometimes things happen that make us different, and it's better to ask us about it than to stare or treat us differently. There were more stories, but I want you to take the time and read them for yourself. Click on the link above and head to Amazon to pick up a book of your own. You won't be sorry you did. (The idea is to claim the book is for a daughter/niece/friend of the family and then find it too beautiful to give up!)
Thank you very much again to Author Marketing Experts for the opportunity to review this wonderful book.
This is a Cybils '10 nominee and as a panelist for Graphic Novels this is required reading for me.
This time I have a paperback copy and its covers are all sparkly with fairy dust and Tink's wings all glittered! Vol. 2 manages squeeze in 5 stories and again, not being a Disney fan, I do say the stories are quite well-written and engaging. The stories are fun and they deal with various issues that little girls will relate to such as a friend being mad at you seemingly for no reason, and doing what the popular girl does. Tink always shows up in the stories, while the other 4 main fairies are in and out of the stories, always allowing for new fairies to be introduced as well. Better than I expected, cute and fun!

A great follow-up to the first book in this graphic novel series full of magic, beauty, vibrant color, and messages of good feeling. From the story of one fairy that shows them all that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, to another fairy and her sacrifice to make sure their world, her friends, and her family, survived to see a new day....there's a little pixie dust to spare in this Disney-eque collection. Happy reading!
This book contains 5 different stories, plus a preview of one of the stories in the next book in the series. The stories include: Colors of Friendship, The Lost Fairy, The Most Beautiful Dress, The Wings of Rani, and Barefoot. All of the stories teach a lesson in a very entertaining fashion. My favorite was The Most Beautiful Dress. We really enjoyed reading it out loud. The illustrations are beautiful. This is an AR 2.5 level book, 1.0 pts.

Tinker Bell and her fairy friends all have different adventures and learn many new things in this Full-Color Graphic Novel.
The colors are extremely bright and fun. The stories are full of adventure and friendship. Each fairy learns something new and all of them strengthen the bonds of friendship. I really enjoyed traveling back to Pixie Hollow and flying alongside all my favorite Disney Fairies. =)
I love Tinker Bell. She loves tinkering when she has to. My favorite story is Colors Of Friendship, because Bess is an art talent fairy and i'm an artist.
