I watched the film first, so I couldn't not hear Charlie in Rex Harrison's voice, but he gave a much better performance in my mind.

A very odd play, and I suspect very much of its time. Not least because much of what is going on is about the problem of being gay at a time when this was not accepted. In fact it is a play where nothing much happens and two men talk at each other.
Suffers to my mind from the fact that both characters are miserable and unlikeable and not even in a funny way.
