From Screen to Theme: A Guide to Disney Animated Film References Found Throughout the Walt Disney World Resort

Plot: This goes through the some of the earlier movies and points out in the parks where references can be found to the movies.

My Thoughts: This was a very repetitious read. Most of the references could be found in the parade (Once Upon A Dream), at the Animation Courtyard (within the sketches), or on the wall of The World of Disney’s ceiling (which how big is this ceiling?) I tried to YouTube and see the “rooms” out of curiosity. No such luck. After you see this pattern after reading about the seventh movie and all the same places it becomes less interesting. I did learn some facts I didn’t know. I learned.
*That Casey’s Corner came from Make Mine Music (which I don’t remember watching).
*Sleeping Beauty’s dress is hanging over Tinkerbelle’s Treasures
*If you go to Disneyland Paris Maleficent (dragon form) is found in the dungeon of Sleeping Beauty’s castle (Can you actually view the castle’s dungeon?)
*In 101 Dalmatians the girl puppies wear blue collars. The males wear red. The author of 101 Dalmatian’s puppies was dead and he rubbed it back to life just like Roger did in the movie (that’s kinda interesting considering bringing dead things back to life sounds supernatural). And you can find 100 Dalmatians running on a film strip and the last watching television in the middle of the area (it’s like playing hide and seek to find some of these things). And some of the puppies names can be told by their features.
*There’s a letter from Penny (from the RescuersI) to Minnie in Minne’s Country House (never noticed this. Too bad the house isn’t there anymore).
*There’s a store called Mrs. Pott’s Cupboards that makes wonderful hot fudge sundaes.
*In previous Aladdin stories the Genie could grant infinite wishes
*In the All-Star Movie Resort the Genie’s lamp is in a prop box
*There’s a show box at the Pop Century Resort with a shadow box of Aladdin toys
*The Pizza Planet truck has been in every Pixar film since Toy Story
*Reflections would shoot at the China Pavilion at Epcot
*Everyone at Pixar had to be scuba certified when working on Finding Nemo to make it look more believable.
*There are comic book pages between the Stich entrance and the Mickey and Minnie entrance. The pages follow the adventures of the Incredibles.

Rating: 6 For the fun facts that I wasn’t aware of.

Not as a review, but an aside perhaps, it's striking how many of these references are long gone. A lot of change in the last few years.
