I honestly don't know how I would have made it through the first 2 months with my newborn without this book. An inspiring devotion, encouraging look at being a "first time mom," and full of understanding that lets you know you are not the only one with these feelings and discouragement and overwhelming thoughts. Some parts are rather old-fashioned, definitely from the "stay-at-home Christian mom of 3 kids" perspective, but despite a few of those moments, this book gave me the hope and awareness I needed at an extremely difficult time.

The BEST book for helping you to survive the first weeks of motherhood. As impossible as it seems, you can carve out 15 minutes a day to read this. It will help you get through the out-of-body experience that you're enduring, as everything is so different.
