I enjoyed the book. The author did an excellent job of helping readers understand the humanity of Jesus. I appreciate how Jesus was portrayed as Someone who relied on God’s Word to know His Father and to know His Father’s will for Him. He learned about His mission and role from the Scriptures. The description of the time period from Gethsemane through His death on the cross was a word picture of how much Jesus suffered as he took our sins and endured the sense of separation from His Father.

There were some portions of the interview that are not in the gospel accounts. That was disappointing. But overall, the book is an attractive portrait of Jesus.

Very interesting fiction novel. I started it while I was still in Bermuda and put it away when I was moving. Have to pick it up again...

Wonderful imaginative narrative based on Scripture and the life of Jesus Christ as foretold in the Hebrew Bible and revealed in the New Testament. Dr. Hodges insights are amazing and his writing flows so well. It is a true harmony of the Gospels. I recommend this book to anyone wanting to "be there" watching the greatest story being told.

What a powerful book! Hodges does an exceptional job of integrating the statements of scripture, both Old an New Testaments, and the emotion of humans into a dramatic presentation of an interview with the resurrected Jesus. Inspiring, engaging, provoking - a tour-de-force into the psyche of the incarnate Jesus Christ.

The 'idea' that Jesus could be interviewed by a psychiatrist seems so far out there, but in fact it works very well. The scriptures quoted shows a depth of knowledge that Jesus would have definitely had, for one thing. The other is the effect of his thinking: of his Messiahship; his Temptations; his Disciples. After reading this book, I felt I understood Jesus better, and I believe that was the whole point of the exercise. Well done!

I have often thought what it would be like to interview Jesus as he was with the disciples. Hodges captures this carefully with great insight into the person of Christ.
