I have read volumes 1-6 in this series and this is the best one I have read in the series. The battle between Shutoku High and Seiren high was great. My heart almost fell when Midorima was about to shoot the buzzer beater and Seiren was about to lose. This volume is filled with a bunch of suspense and cliffhangers because it will be about the qualifiers on who will get into inter-high ( A basketball competition between four of the best basketball teams in the Kanto region located in Japan ). I recommend this series for people who love sports and dramatic scenes.

Loved the art and the first appearance of Aomine's <3. The problem is that a whole volume ended with out ending the game between Sieren and Midoriema's team.
So this entire volume is pretty much the match against Shuutoko, the team on which Midorima plays. Midorima is one of Kuroko's teammates from middle school, and he is the undefeated shooter of the Generations of Miracles so he's not an easy opponent by a long shot.
Aaaand, this volume ends on a cliffhanger haha
So, back to the order in which these matches escalate, which I've talked about in the match against Kise, the second member of the GoM Kuroko and Seirin play against is Midorima. Midorima is more of a solitary player than Kise as demonstrated by his request that all the balls be passed to him so he could score, his self-reliance (he almost never passes the ball, instead just receiving and shooting), and his selfish requests.
However, Midorima is still relatively easy to "reform" because he still values friendship. He has Takeo, another member in the team, with whom he is often seen. Takeo is his best friend - they are introduced together in the series, a volume or two back, and are shown to greatly understand each other. In fact, in the anime they are vary rarely shown apart, and the only time I can think of... Takeo delivers Midorima to that place, thus being part of it despite not being there for a majority of the scene. Incidentally, this is where the shipping of these two characters come from. BTW - I ship them haha
Back to the topic... Midorima trusts Takeo to neutralize Kuroko, and Takeo is almost smug in his belief in Midorima's abilities. He's the only one who never seems to grow upset with Midorima and his attitude. This is what makes Midorima the second easiest member to reform. If defeated, he will not have such a hard time falling on his teammates to become stronger and becoming a team player, because he already trusts one of them explicitly. From there to trusting them on the field is an easy leap to make.
No waaaay! O_O that shot of Midorima at chap28. That far? And it still went in?! Wow! Omg! He's amazing! A monster. Hahaha damn. XD Kagami is getting fired up! He could jump so high now.
It kinda surprised me that Kuroko punched Kagami to his senses. Lol but yeah, what Kuroko said was true. What's victory even if you guys win but you're the only one happy? It wont be called a "team" would it? :D
Dammit! This is way too intense! I'm supposed to be sleeping right now but i can't seem to stop reading this! Gawd! My heart is pounding so fast. WTH Hahahaha
